Re: SWITCHING TO THE DONTS

Yeah, I have heard lots of convention wisdom over the years from fellow players (DI rollers as well as non-DI craps bettors) that you really shouldn't switch between regular and dark side betting in the same session at the same table. Technically, there is no mathematical reason not to "switch ...

Re: My personal favorite 6&8 strategy

I used this 6&8 this past week on a cool choppy table while waiting for the dice to come back around. After watching the dice go around once I began playing it. After the point I placed the inside for one unit each. Then after two hits on any inside numbers I took the 5&9 down and went from...

Re: New ten second rule

Hope it spreads. Anything that speeds the game up is great for us. House of Orange, could you please elaborate? My own thoughts on the question "is faster bet resolution better or worse for the players?" is as follows: 1.) I don't know exactly how casinos rate players play, but from what ...

Re: New ten second rule

I dont think they should have a time limit on how long you can hold onto the dice before you shoot. Dice schoolers and finger snappers are like baseball players that have a whole routine when before they are ready to swing the bat:)

Re: Up with a day left?

Take $1500 of that profit, seal it in an envelope and play with that other $500. That way your bankroll is also off the tables. DN8R this! I like Darth Nater's suggested bankroll management strategy best of all the advice given thus far. If you stash away $1,500 and dont use it the remaining day of...

Nate: thanks for all the advice. Where can I find on the forum a list of dice sets or abbreviations so i don’t have to bother you with questions like “what is the X6 set and what is it good for?” Main, Go back to Heavy's homepage and click on dice setting. Re: DARKSIDE POP QUIZ

Nate: Do you normally shoot from the don'ts when you are rolling? I used to shoot more from the don’ts before the ‘rona. When the casinos reopened with three aside I evolved to the pass line more and more. Plus one month before the ‘rona hit, I had my fateful 3 hour meeting with Coaster, which lead...

Re: Link me up: where can I read about Vegas vs Biloxi payouts?

Most Strip casinos do not collect the vig up front on the first Buy on the Four and Ten, but it may vary from property to property. Off strip you'll likely have to pay the juice up front. Vegas is primarily 3-4-5X odds. Downtown you'll find 2X odds at the Fremont. It varies at the other properties....

Re: a revisit to a strategy

I often do a "one hit and down" on apparently random shooters. I will place the 6 and 8. When either hits, I take it down. When the other hits, I take it down also. Its a way to have a small amount of action on the table with a random shooter while I wait for a D.I. (or for myself). Variat...

Re: Popping head in to say hi

mainframe, I think most places are easing up or on the verge of doing so. I was in Biloxi a few weeks back. only one casino had plexi. none were really stringent on per side players all required mask but i think that is changing. No plexi in lake charles or Shreveport the same week. Some Oklahoma c...

Popping head in to say hi

Hey Dice Influencers and Axis Power Craps forum members! g It's Mainframe. I haven't been around for probably a year, so I figured I would stick my head in and just say hello. Not sure what sub-forum to post such a general non-topical message to. As for Craps itself...I haven't been to any casinos t...

Re: The Dark Side personality. Worth it?

DN8R: You never really know any other's players implicit motivations and goals at the crap table. At some basic level, of course everyone wants to walk away a winner. If the fellow betting one yellow chip on DP per shooter was being earnest when he said "not to lose', he may have just been tryi...

Re: The Dark Side personality. Worth it?

Whats a yellow chipper? Never mind. I looked it up. Most casinos use yellow or orange chips to denote the $1,000 denomination/value. So, you and a high stakes better were betting DP, with the high roller shooting from the don'ts, and the two of you are were winning at the time? When I do dark side b...

So regarding Bankroll and Risk and gambling goals/objectives, I have a few comments: I know there are a few professional gamblers out there who sort of eek out a living/existence with gambling as their primary source of income. I am not sure how many of them actually live off the gambling winnings a...

Re: No Two person Are Alike

In 20 years, here's what I've discovered about craps players and gamblers in general. - "I'm up a little" - really means, "Give or take $100." - "I lost a little" - really means, "I took a beating." - "I broke even" - really means, "I lost abou...

Re: Revisiting "one hit can't miss"

My other very common hybrid craps play (which is really just a hedge), is as follows: 1. I bet the don't pass during a come out roll 2. If and only if the point number established is a 4 or 10, I lay two times the DP wager (causing dealer to 'bridge' my DP and lay chips. I then immediately bet the c...

Re: Strategy of boxcars

Earlier in this thread someone asked "Why is it conventional advice to 'not hedge' or 'never hedge'" Many have already replied that you are exposing yourself to high house edge bets (often) when you hedge. For example, you hedge a passline comeout throw with a Any Craps, or a 3-way craps, ...
