Re: New system
Dan-- switch to the don'ts. That'll raise your SRR back to historical norms.

Re: Baccarat Tie Bet
Thanks, Heavy! I'll take that to mean 'one and done.'
I read some prior posts you made about players yelling 'tie line' and hitting it more often than not. I recently played Baccarat at the Harrah's Metropolis ($5 min always) and heard another player get excited about 'tie line' (only English I ...

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Raider-- you lost too many times when a shooter made point before a hit on the 6 (losing odds covering the 6 when point not a 6)? Were a few C/O boxcars thrown to further the beat-down? Shooting 'for free' tends to bring the boxcars whenever I do it (e.g. I shoot from the DP, make point, table ...

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Hey DF-- how's the Pension Plan going?
I'm curious. Are there casino settings which give you the gut feeling you're walking into a hot table buzz-saw and you play anyway because your left brain says it makes no difference to the dice? Are there situations you just know you're going to get your ass ...

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Good luck, DF! I think you'd get a kick out of shooting from the don't. Follow the same rules: if you throw a C/O loser, pass 'em. If you throw a point, pass 'em. Set the 2-V until you get three points established, then go with a sevens set based on the point. Shoot from the deck and focus on the ...

DF- are you taking your punches on the DP or starting out on the DC?

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Well done, DF! Great reports! You stuck with your strategy alteration to play two units with a DP/DC versus the playbook's stacking a win when down to one unit (we covered this question earlier in the thread) ?

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Pensioner/Mrs. players are such grinders, we rarely get much excitement except for that occasional double or triple parlay which survives the C/O or travels. We need a bone thrown our way here and there. You won't hear us cheer, but there might be a slight smile under the ballcap, should she come ...

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Pensioners: 3 units per shooter, 6 shooters to give yourself a fair chance, 18 units total. Low-roller playing $5 needs $90, which will let you play 2-3 hours without getting hurt. Add the odds hedge: worst case you need $10 odds to protect the first DC. Add $60 in odds protection (6 shooters) and ...

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Looking forward to hearing about it. I'm also playing the Mrs. Dice Doctor which is a slight variation from the Pensioners. I lay odds at a $5 table and no odds anything higher. Played two sessions last night on a $10 table at Harrah's Metropolis (Paducah): up 7 units, down 8 units, net down 1 unit ...

Re: Using Sam Grafstein`s Pensioner`s Play
Hey DF-- weird coincidence, I just played a $15/unit Pensioner at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana (Louisville). Finished down 4 units. What's your opinion on the double-up move when holding one unit left? Do you do it or take the two units and go DP/DC?

Good luck to you too, sir. I'm expecting a round of lectures on the Martingale (and fully warranted).

1. Yes
2. Since you can take down your DP after establishing a point, seems you can also reduce to table minimum, but never asked. You have the upper-hand once the DP gets established, regardless the point, so why take it down? Never seen the shooter start from the DP and then take it down after ...

I could post Grafstein's PL progression charts for single and double odds, if permissible. Want everything to be legal and within site rules.
