Re: 7 Things I Wish They'd Told Me BEFORE I Discovered Craps
It is amazing how often interrupting your own roll, with a two way hard way, results in a seven. No good deed goes unpunished. One of the times I'll always remember. I was playing with a friend at Lakeside in Osceola. He has a good toss, way better than mine but big bets make him nervous. if anyone...

Re: Shoot To Win-Mechanical Craps
Electronic craps is the majority of my play now. I only hit a regular table when I can catch an empty one or a near empty one with a good crew. Now that is interesting... Since I had not expected to hear that, I am very curious about what events made you go in this direction and what your overall s...

If you like the dark side you can dream up systems that you can't use on a regular table. I like to lay everything in a negative progression.

Re: 7 Things I Wish They'd Told Me BEFORE I Discovered Craps
Last night it was late hardway bets guarantee a seven on the next roll. It was so bad last night that one of the dealers even asked the guy if he was ever going to figure it out.

By that time the hand has grown " Long-in-The-Tooth " just me saying w c Sometimes we spend so much time reading the forum that we don't really see little 'pearls of wisdom'. Thanks Wild Child Lkwd I agree. One of my new rules is if the money on the layout and in my rack puts me at +$1000...

Re: why not hit the easy number twice?
If it's that easy why not hop it ONCE? $10 PL bet. $300 Sevens Hop. One thing I've recently changed in my game is pressing the pass line bet independently of the odds and trying to toss sevens on the comeout. Last time I played I was able to get a $10 pass line bet up to $150 hit and down twice, mo...

Re: Would YOU Shoot from the Don'ts?
I enjoy playing that way on an empty table. I'd use the same set 3's on top 5's facing for the comeout. If I was tossing well I'd use the same set with a slightly offset grip to get more skin on the left die after the point was set. If I wasn't tossing well I'd just pluck em and chuckem after the po...

Re: Regression Math
Bottom line - it's never wrong to take a profit off the table. EVER. Anyone who tells you otherwise just hasn't hit the wall on losses yet. His time will come. Excellent words of advice. When I have more time I'll post some roll between sevens charts from random rolls to show the huge differences i...

Anyone here play Blackjack?
One of the local casinos has a new side bet that goes like this. If your first card is ten value card you can increase you bet clear up to table max with a 5% commission. Dealers up card is still hidden at this point. Has anyone run into this and does anyone have any thoughts? A side count of aces l...

Re: Regression Math
Lots of good info here. One thing I'd like to add is don't get hung up on SRR. I've had 720 roll books where my SRR was 9 or above where I make little profit and books around 6 or even lower than 6 where I made a boatload of money. The difference? Come out sevens. After many thousands of rolls they ...

Re: The ISR. (Intial Steep Regression)
By far, my favorite is the 204 with a regression. However due to the confusion it causes, I went to something simpler. Every one knows what a 135 or 130 across, including is...204 across is a game stopper. Ask me how I know. Bottom line is that we all have short or long rolls. If you have the confi...

Re: The ISR. (Intial Steep Regression)
At my particular haunt, the bewitching throw seems to come around 3 or 4, so for myself, the 2nd hit would be the most correct move. I'm with wiremonkey on this... Me too. 2 hits and regress is my standard regression play. I believe the decisions you make when you have the inevitable bad run is the...

Re: Roulette - Heavy's Sit-Down Game of Choice
Yeah, the thing is online especially, you aren't supposed to be winning long term. Have fun by all means, but don't waste you time trying to beat a random negative expectation game over thousands of spins - it simply isn't happening. I agree. Roulette is not a beatable game unless you find a mechan...

Re: Roulette - Heavy's Sit-Down Game of Choice
Soooo, now that I've given away a significant portion of Xploitation Roulette I expect to hear tales about how some of you are beating the game. Typically I wait for an even money bet to lose 3 or more times in a row and then run a 3 step martingale on that bet. Sometimes it works and sometimes it ...

I ran into a guy in Tahoe that was doing something similar, although he was awful at trying to implement it as he didn't have a handle at all on the betting part. He played PL + odds. After point set, $75 DC. After DC traveled, bet across, no including PL and DC point. But he didn't take down any n...

The last two times I was in the Plaza I quickly walked through and went elsewhere. It looks like the weekend home base for the So Cal gangs on Friday night or Saturday. The Plaza is the only place I feel I've received unwarrented heat the past few years. After tossing 4 times into the left high hook...

Re: Roulette - Heavy's Sit-Down Game of Choice
Friday night the wife and I went to Prairie Meadows to eat, collect their giveaway trinket and use our free play. When we first walked in one of the craps table only had one player at Left hook so I stopped there and bought in at SR1 after he made his point of nine. made a pass line bet and my stand...

But, just so you know, many years ago, Maddog and I devised a horn progression. I think it was 14 steps? Something like that. In all the times we tested, it never failed to make money (real table, fake chips). However, there were multiple times where we were making crazy huge horn bets, and hitting...

Re: How to Become a Winning Player in Eight Easy Steps
Realistic expectations help too. The guy with a 14K bankroll should be able to use your money management and discipline skills to make $500 or so, a fair days wages for most people. Home runs are nice when they happen but you need a lot of ground ball singles to keep yourself in the game to get more...
