Re: Welcome to the Crapless Craps Corner
Pappy Van Winkle taught me to play the crapless as you would regular craps, use the field if field numbers are trending to fund the extremes and other place bets, or fund them from existing place bets. I've observed Parson playing in a similar manner, although he'll also risk $36 on the two or twelv...

Re: Using Bone Tracker for Smarter Betting?
Wrangler, you are on the right track and your interpretation of the data is correct, however 478 rolls is still a very small sample. Once you have two books of 720 rolls for BoneTracker you will have a more accurate picture of where your true edge lies. The rule of thumb is to use data from 2 or 3 r...

Re: How to protect an early trip win?
I still use Heavy's envelope system. I hate carrying a bunch of cash on me. I also don't want the TSA at the airport nosing in my business with the risk of them confiscating money for whatever reason. I'd rather not deal with that headache. I will keep a maximum of cash on me that I feel safe to car...

Sounds like he was anti-social. His loss. He could have learned something from the Sith Lord.

Re: The Dark Side personality. Worth it?
I think the darkside method of play and the care/concern by rightsiders is fading in my observations. Either players don't know what you are doing, or they know and don't care. They realize it is your money you are betting. There are always going to be arseholes at the table, so it can happen where ...

Re: high limit tables, $300 buy in
I've been mulling this over too. I hate making a big outlay and getting burned. On randies, I've pondered placing just a $30 six or eight and working bets up and out. (e.g. First hit, collect. Second hit, place the sister number 6 or 8. Third hit, collect. Fourth hit, press both to $42 each. Build u...

Re: Horn GWAG
I am just starting to do the deep BT dive on Horn numbers after spending a few days shooting dice with DN8R. My go-to GWAG set throws off horns plus the seven, so on ATS tables it can pose a problem. Often during a GWAG, I get stuck on a sevens streak of 3,4, or even 5 sevens and end up knocking dow...

Re: CRAPLESS CRAPS-
The $40 XO working on the Come Out coupled with a $10 Red works great with DI's who can knock out the extreme outside numbers. If those numbers are not coming in then it's a bankroll killer. On players I don't know I play crapless like I play any other craps game except I avoid the Pass Line. Perio...

If the dice do not stay in the practice rig, I do not track it. I consider it a die off the table.

Re: reference to a post
Honestly, and get ready for everyone to be up in arms. The BEST way to bet without identifiable dominant numbers? Just a line bet with decent odds. Volatile. Good recuperation rate. Boring as hell. Taking this a bit further, if you add two or three come bets with decent odds into the mix does this ...

Re: reference to a post
And back to player utility. Why do you play? How do you get enjoyment from playing? As I've stated many times, I do not enjoy the casino environment for long stretches. I do not enjoy packed tables and I have zero need to interact with others. I like to play for 30-60 minutes, win or lose, and leav...

Late to the party but where do I find Freak' modified MP204. Searched this site and no find. Sorry man. Let me see if I can find something. Try here about halfway down (freak's second post on this thread page): https://axispowercraps.com/crapsforum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3423&start=40 Some add...

Re: Wrong Way Flat Bet Progressions - What's Yours?
During a session at Excalibur, D.N8R and I played what D.N8R called the "Sayonara" bet. It was time to leave, so we decided to play the Don'ts on the other shooters until we lost. We started at $5 and pressed a unit (or something like that) with each shooter. It was decided we would leave ...

Re: Does raising the table limits really do you any good in your
I find that I am more reckless on a $5 table. "What's another $5?" Tossing in hardway bets or making come and field bets. My most profitable sessions have usually occurred on $15 tables where I am much more tight fisted with my money. I rarely play $25 tables, but in this new environment I...

Re: 22Inside's Betting Evolution
I never paid much attention to MP204 as it was way out of my comfort zone when I was first starting out. It still is even though I've long outlived my 22Inside moniker :) I might need to go dust that off and see if it can be broken down to a more modest level that would be more in line with my curr...

Re: What’s the story with ear buds?
Can’t say I’ve seen anybody wearing them at the tables. The general rule casinos like to enforce is no “electronics”. Each property may have various policies they enforce. I’ll venture a guess that if you ask a pit boss if you can wear ear buds at the table, the answer will be “no”.

Now let’s play out the hand. Six is the point. Second toss – rolls 8. Shooter collects $35. $90 action on the table. $55 at risk. Third toss – rolls 9. Shooter collects $28. $90 action on the table. $27 at risk. Fourth toss – rolls 3. No change in bankroll. Shooter comes down off the 5 and 9. Regre...

Re: Craps Etiquette for New (and oblivious) Players
My last trip at Paris LV, I picked up a penny (Lincoln side up) right in front of a Security guard. Lucky for me, he was busy oogling the twentysomething ladies that were walking past us. I have a habit of picking up money I see discarded on the ground. I guess I need to be more aware in the casino.
