Re: Where's the Dark Side Love ??
That sounds like a great time. Think of all the spring-break randies who will be there.

Re: Craps Etiquette for New (and oblivious) Players
And by the way, do not use casino chips you find on the floor or left over credits on a slot, or any type of money you may find in the casino proper. I was just sent a news clip of casinos..like Ameristar taking people to court for theft and winning. One guy played a left over $2.00 credit and was ...

Re: Since today is Labor Day - Working or Not Working?
One of my favorite bets is to lay the 4 and/or 10 on the come out. Most people at the table are rooting for the natural and they don't notice my bet, and when the natural shows we are all happy. However I have noticed the dealers get annoyed when I take the bet off after the come out when it doesn't...

Re: Craps Etiquette for New (and oblivious) Players
Funny (in both the ha ha sense and the ironic/apropos sense) story on Bankerdude's point. I was at the health club the other day, and I happen to know they give free or reduced cost memberships to people with disabilities. I'm all for that and happy to subsidize it with my full price membership. So ...

Re: Imagine for a moment . . .
I wish you had made this guy's street name Hard 8. Then every time one of his homies said his name at the table, he could lean over to the nearest member of the fairer sex and whisper, "it's actually more like a hard 10." Sorry, I know this is a family-oriented site but I couldn't resist ....

I guess that falls under the category of (like not annoying the shooter) not being a shooter who's annoying.

Re: Craps Etiquette for New (and oblivious) Players
I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but I'm against "same dice" unless you have hit at least 4 points or 8 box numbers in a row. I hate it when someone -- usually someone whose toss begged to cause the dice to fly off the table -- screams "same dice" like they expect to win th...

Re: Dollar What?
I think I would honestly have more fun watching you guys call out these exotic bets and seeing the dealers try to handle them than I would making my own wagers.

Re: First hand first session empty table
I like it also as an opportunity to practice while playing for small stakes (usually when I walk up to an empty table I only bet pass line minimum + single odds until I make consecutive points). When you are the only one at a table and thus the dealers are not standing there getting paid for nothing...

Re: Heavy's 6 and 8 Place to Come Heat Seeker
Are there better players at the $25 table? No maybe worse because some do not care if they lose DG I think there's something to that. And I see plenty of big bettors at the low-minimum tables betting on those who appear to be DIs. It may just be because I tend to go to the lower-cost casinos but th...

Re: What are your Craps Knowledge Gaps
I think the vig on the non-buy 5/9 bet is about 4% so it would waste money to buy it for, essentially, 5%.

Re: What are your Craps Knowledge Gaps
If I'm not mistaken, the house edge on the place bets on the 5-9 is less than you pay if you buy them. So it only makes sense to buy the 4/10. Right?

Re: What are your Craps Knowledge Gaps
I'm always on the lookout for casinos that allow you to front the vig from your winnings so you don't pay if you lose. Anyone know the best places for this policy (in Vegas)?

Re: Advice..
I'd say doubling your money is doing pretty well. Dance with the girl you brought -- don't try to learn something new if you've had success on the dark side. Maybe next time you catch a hot table, increase your betting 10-20% over how you were betting this time. Maybe you win $300-$400. But I wouldn...

Re: What's the Point in Lay Betting?
That's what I like to do. Sometimes if the table has been icy I will even bet myself on the don't until I make a point then switch. Hey if I lose one line bet because I hit the point everyone else is happy and I can switch over knowing I didn't ignore what had been the trend to that point.

Re: What's the Point in Lay Betting?
Even though it's meant to trick the player, I have to grudgingly admire the use of "for" by the casinos. Then it's assumed your bet stays up. Every edge they can get away with, they take ... I was watching "Casino" on Amazon Prime last night. Hadn't seen it in some time. The intr...

Re: What's the Point in Lay Betting?
When I've been somewhere the dealers aren't as experienced or even where they appear to be quite good, sometimes I'll just mention to the one next to me (I always try to stand at the hook) that I'm thinking of making a lay bet and I run some numbers by him or her hypothetically just to let him/her k...
