Re: Next Powerball - $1.3 Billion? Who's in?

I admit it, I broke my piggy bank to buy a $2 ticket. Imagine my frustration when I found out I didn't win! We actually just adopted a new rescue yesterday. We focus on the seniors to give them a good home for their remaining days. His name is Capone. He's an English Mastiff, somewhere around 7-9 y...

Re: Next Powerball - $1.3 Billion? Who's in?

I'm thinking it will be at least $1.6B, but $2B is not out of the question. We dropped $40 on it yesterday as an entertainment bet, as Heavy termed it. We'll probably do something similar again on Wednesday. After helping out our immediate family members with their debt and setting up some trusts fo...

Re: The Twelve Bets of Christmas

If the auto-buy is not in place does anyone actually employ the buying of 5/9 into their betting strategy and at what points?

Now you have one max ass time strategy for each cheek depending on which way the table is leaning.

Re: The Twelve Bets of Christmas

If the table is streaking red, can you also switch up the bets to 3 units on red and 2 units on the middle 12 column?

Re: The Twelve Bets of Christmas

Thanks Dave. It's been a while since I've been to Foxwoods. We usually go to Mohegan when we do a road trip to CT.

Re: The Twelve Bets of Christmas

Depends on the casino, in my experience. Neither of the CT casinos, or the ones I've played in Philadelphia, do auto-buy. You have to ask. There were a couple of casinos in LV on my last trip which did do auto-buy on 4-10. One was as low as $20. I didn't keep track of which ones were doing autobuys,...

Re: The Twelve Bets of Christmas

What about a thread for this one's evil twin, the 12 worst bets of Christmas

This should be a good thread though...it's off to a great start and I'm also curious about LS' question.

Re: Thoughts on my current betting progression

Hi 22Inside, Are you using this betting-method just on yourself and other possible-DI's; or are you using this on a wholesale, every-shooter basis? The reason I ask is because, on a wholesale basis; your multiple-session losses will usually outpace your multiple-session wins, even if one or two of ...

Re: Thoughts on my current betting progression

With that kind of progression you might never see step 15! Lol Also, assuming you start with $5 bets, I would guess betting $240 6 and 8's would really get the stomach in some knots! I would try starting a little higher on my opening bet after qualifying the shooters than either do a collect/full p...

Thoughts on my current betting progression

As with all of us, my understanding and approach to the game is constantly evolving. This is where I am currently. I've been reading and absorbing a lot of the great info here and thinking about how to incorporate DP and regressions into my play. After reading through things, it appears my current b...

Re: The WORST Games in the Casino

So yes, I'd dub Blackjack - in its current state - one of the worst games in the casino. Twenty years ago I would not have said that. But that was then - and this is now. That qualifier is what does it for me. I have many fond memories of getting educated on blackjack with my father, who was an exc...

Re: The WORST Games in the Casino

Thanks for the link to the Motely Fool article, which I read but found it seemed to contradict itself. Motely Fool starts with the premise that Millennials are "a more sophisticated generation of gamblers" which immediately got me thinking -really? I would have said the opposite. I think ...
