Re: Betting the Donts

I remember a few years back someone else on this board posted this same strategy. I don't remember any key words, maybe except "hedge" and "fire bet" but it probably is still too difficult to find. However I do remember the gist of it, which I do agree with. The poster said he wa...

Re: Don’t Pass with hardway hedge

Mathematically, don't hedge with a hardway. You don't need a simulation to tell you that. That is with a random roller. With a DI and they are setting the hardway or a 2V/3V, sure, it may be worth the risk. Assuming they are proficient enough to stay on axis, without too many single pitch with the V...

Re: Flat Betting

So if you can influence the dice to get a 7 SRR - can you influence the dice to get a 5 SRR by setting FOR the sevens? How many of you actually USE the all sevens set on the come out in an effort to exploit your natural edge on the bet even if you don't influence the dice (8 ways to win versus 4 wa...

Re: Top 20 Gaming Markets in the US Based on $$$ Wagered

I would recommend the book "The Roulette Formula" by Kimo Li. It'll help you memorize the numbers next door to any number or even entire 6-number sectors. He breaks down the pattern on the wheel in relation to the layout. This one is for the American wheel, but he has one for the European ...

Re: YouTube Craps Videos

Yeah, I did happen to come across his videos when they first came out. I remember he said something to the effect of how he liked when the dice rolled back a lot after hitting the back wall. I use to put his video on in the background when I practiced at home but eventually I had to stop; I was worr...

Re: Craps Apps for betting practice

I use to have that app. What's good about it is that you can go into setting and make the "shooter" either random, a rhythm roller, or a DI. You can also change the dice set as well.

For me it started to crash every time I opened the app, so I just deleted it.

Re: Money Left On The Table

Any betting money left on the table just before to SO comes, is, or was, your money. You earned it from your previous bets. I also try to get my initial bets back. Afterwards I begin to press with my profits. I find I'm more relaxed after I get back the value of my bets. I am not a fan of regressing...

Re: How to Color Up at a Craps Game

When I color up I usually put in an amount so I don't get the same denomination back. For example, I have $563 in chips, so I hand in $550. No need to put in 2 reds and 3 whites, if I'm just going to get it back again. It also helps me pre-count the amount I hand in.

Re: What are your favorite money management tricks?

In all these scenarios it seems we are under the assumption that we have to make money on the other shooters. Against random-rollers we can not in the long run. So why waste your money on them. If we bet on other shooters we now not only have to shoot well enough to overcome the HA during our hand b...

Re: $15 Games - the REAL Saturday Night Bane of DI's

To keep costs down I would do as follows: When shooting. If allowed, doey-dont $15. So only a $15 loss if a 12 on the CO. Puck on, BUY the 6 and 8 at $15 a piece, $1 juice on both, for a $32 investment. Either 6 or 8 hits you get $18 but ask to place both numbers now. So the dealer should keep $5 an...

Importance of Bankroll

This is more of a vent, just for me to blow off some steam. There are the obvious reasons why you want an adequate bankroll when you step up to the table, but I just found out one more reason. Let me regale you with my recent discovery. Stayed at the table a little too long, but was only down $50, s...

Re: Loss- Win Limit

Jaime, I use to have that 3 strike philosophy as well, I posted it once years ago. The only difference was if it was 3 rolls where I did not make a profit. So if after a seven out I had actually made even a small profit, it would not count as a "strike out". However, I do not follow that m...

No, you can NOT tell the dealer a come bet not to travel. It is a contract bet like a pass line bet.

Re: Alternative Buy-In Question

I don't know what I do is what is standard practice at other casinos since I only frequent one. It is similar to what was said before. Hold up your bill(s) standing up on the rack facing the supervisor, so they can see that you have enough for the bet. Call out your bets and the dealer will book the...

Re: Local casino question

First, Heavy, doesn't the boxperson also keep mental tabs on your bets? I see the boxperson get tapped out by the super and they basically switch positions. Then that boxperson is now updating the info on the computer. So they may make changes to your betting average based on what they saw, knowing ...

Re: Mississippi Stud

Obviously if it's in a casino then the house edge isn't great. Haven't played it in a while, but don't recall liking it. The same goes for it's related games Bonus Texas Hold'em and Ultimate Texas Hold'em. You are not suppose to show your cards to the table, but you (and others) can get away with it...

Re: Booking action another player waved off

I once asked a super about this when I saw a player taking his DC bet down if it traveled to 6 or 8. Basically he said, just keep it on the down-low and not make it obvious. You are correct that being a 6 to 5 favourite makes it a great deal. I remember when a similar question was asked a while ago,...

just a note:

if you doing this to "stay under the radar" then each person should bet the same way regardless if they are shooting or not. Just something to keep in mind.

Re: Heavy's Heat Seeking Craps Strategy

Seems to be very intriguing strategy. Especially as you said, to keep you in the game compared to the five-count. I do have a couple of questions. 1) Would you recommend that after a shooter qualifies and eventually sevens-out, that you would continue to do this strategy on every other shooter, or s...
