Right on the heels of our highly successful inaugural Dice and Love Valentines Craps Cruise comes Craps Cruise II - this time on the Oasis of the Seas' sister ship - Allure of the Seas. This exciting adventure is planned for Halloween week - October 27 thru November 3, 2019. Not only will we celebrate Halloween at Sea - we'll celebrate the Day of the Dead on Cozumel.

Day One we'll depart Ft. Lauderdale on October 27th and kick the cruise off with a special welcome reception hosted by my cruise partners at URComped.com. You'll meet the URComped team, yours truly, the casino hosts and supervisors and enjoy an assortment of tropical beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Afterwards you'll be on your own to explore the ship, test the casino tables, or just kick back and relax after the day's embarkation adventures.

Day Two will be an "At Sea" day. That means it's Axis Power Craps Seminar at Sea Day. While we had a great class last time, we've improved on it for this next round, adding a session for craps novices and dice control beginners and changing the three-on-one training sessions to a single group class. Here's how it's going to shake out.

9AM – 10:30AM: New Student – New Player Session. We don't normally get brand new players in our Axis Power Craps seminars, but we do on the cruises. This class is geared to the new or less experienced craps player. We’ll cover the basic layout and payouts, how to press your bets and various betting strategies to utilize depending on table conditions. From there we’ll cover some very basic dice setting and tossing techniques, including how to quickly set and grip the dice, the proper angle to toss the dice, and the landing zone. If you're planning to attend the event and have a spouse you'd like to see know more about the game - this might be a class for her/him. If you don't know what the odds are on the Pass and Don't Pass - then you need this class. If you don't know the correct payoff on a $24 Place Bet on the Eight, or what a $41 No Ten Lay bet pays - then you need this class. If you don't know what a World bet is or how much a $5 Hard Four pays - then you need this class. If you don't know what numbers are on the axis when you set the hardways - then you need this class. Don't be embarrassed if you don't know what a $5 Yo pays. Don't be intimidated by the language of the game and it's superstitions. Most players are. You don't have to be. This is a classroom style class and there is no actual hands-on toss training. Hands-on training is available in the afternoon session. If you take this class and want to take the Hands-On Training Class in the afternoon it is strongly recommended that you also take the Experienced Player Class that follows this one. Cost of this New Student - New Player 90 minute session is $199. Every player who signs up for this session will receive a copy of Heavy’s Axis Power Craps Seminar on CD – a $189 retail value – in advance of the class at no additional charge. Enroll for New Student Session One at this link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c ... S7N33PQ4R8

10:30AM – 12:00 Noon: Experienced Player – Advanced Betting / Dice Control Session. This class is geared to the more experienced player and players who have completed the New Student - New Player Session. That's going to include the majority of you guys here on the forum. Players attending this class should already be familiar with correct bet sizes, the payoffs on those bets, the press moves they need to make to get money on and off the table, etc. They should also have more than a passing familiarity with dice influence. Self-taught players are welcome if they have developed a solid toss that generates a positive expectation. Former students of Axis Power Craps and other Dice Control teaching organizations are welcome. I will give you specific press moves to get red chip bettors collecting green chips and green chip bettors collecting black. In addition to right way play we’ll cover advantage play from the Dark Side, utilizing your dice influencing skills for both the short game and the long game, charting and advanced trend tracking, hedge plays to optimize results on "randy," and utilizing sniper sets to bring out winning combinations. Finally, we'll dig deep into money management and discipline and how to walk with a win. Cost of this 90 minute session is $199. Enroll for Experience Player Session 2 at this link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c ... GGAS97CAXN

Two-Fer Special: Sign on for both the First-Time Student and the Experienced Player class for just $349 and save $49. That's almost $300 below what you'd pay for a half day session in our Axis Power Craps land based seminar sessions. Sign up for Sessions 1 and 2 under the "two-fer" special at the following link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c ... G7CVXEACL8

1:00PM – 5:00PM: Dice Control for Casino Craps – Hands On Training Class. This four hour class is limited to 12 students. In order to qualify for this class you must have taken one of the morning sessions offered. New students should have taken both morning sessions. We are planning to conduct this class in the casino on a “closed” table. We reserve the right to break this up into two two-hour sessions with six students per session. If, for some reason, that table is unavailable to use we will use a conference room table with a craps layout and professionally built dice control practice rig. Each student will receive hands-on toss training including an analysis of their throw and recommendations on how to improve. The class is encouraged to observe the coaching of other students as you will learn as much by watching others being coached as you will when you are receiving your individual training. Once every student has completed his or her toss training we will run through a few advanced betting progressions – then each student will have the opportunity to compete against the others in the class in a “No Sevens” competition. The student tossing the longest hand with “No Sevens” will win a special prize from Axis Power Craps and URComped. Price for this four hour session is $399 per person and is limited to the first 12 students. Enroll for the four hour hands on Dice Control for Casino Craps Class at the following link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c ... HUJXFQ9XQY

First Time and New Students – It’s recommended you attend all three sessions. Sign up for all three sessions and we’ll discount the total enrollment by over $100 – you pay just $695. That’s $100 less than you’d pay for our land-based Axis Power Craps Seminar – and you get the Axis Power Craps Seminar on CD free. But remember – the afternoon hands-on class is LIMITED to the first 12 to sign on. Make your reservations for the "Full Day Seminar" NOW at the following link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c ... 4HEZUYYL4S

On Day Five – Our Second “At Sea” Day – Heavy will be available casually throughout the day for additional small group dice control toss tune-up sessions. These sessions will ONLY be available to students who attend one or more of the sessions on the first "at sea" day. We’re planning to conduct these sessions on a “closed” table in the casino. The sessions will be one hour each and limited to two students per session and are priced at $99 per person per session. The number of sessions available will be dependent on available table time in the casino. We will book these sessions in advance of the cruise and will limit enrollment to the first eight to respond. Additional sessions MAY be available once we’re at sea, based on table availability. Sessions booked "at sea" will be on a cash only basis. Book these sessions in advance now at this link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c ... E6QHEU879Y

Okay, that concludes the Seminar at Sea info. Let's talk some more about the cruise itself.

Day Three will see us in Labadee, Haiti. Labadee is a private resort owned by Royal Caribbean. It's an island paradise far removed from the poverty stricken images of Haiti you've seen cable news. You'll find pristine white sand beaches, palm trees, zip lines, water slides, shopping, food stands, icy tropical drinks and more. Want to escape the controlled confines of Labadee? You can also book private excursions of World Heritage sites on the island as well as sightseeing and other adventure tours through Allure's excursion desk.

Day Four sees us dock at Falmouth, Jamaica. I've toured Jamaica several times, and I have to tell you - it's hard to go wrong here. Yes, if you walk down a public beach alone then someone is going to offer you some "ganja" about every twenty yards. What can I say? Entrepreneurism is alive and well on the island nation. Just don't bring that weed back on the ship with you. Yes, they have strict rules, and if those drug dogs get a whiff of weed when you get back to Ft. Lauderdale you're going to be in for an unpleasant time with the folks from ICE. Meanwhile, back on the Jamaican road trip. Dunn's River Falls and the Blue Hole are pretty much absolute musts when in Jamaica. As far as dining is concerned - it's pretty much Jamaican jerked anything. I recommend the curried goat, but hey. I'm into meat that's a little gamy. Of course, this is the home of Red Stripe beer. And don't forget that there's a fine estate distilled rum on the island as well. You can book a tour, have a tasting (if you're over 21) and buy a bottle for the road. Jamaica? No problem.

Day Five is that At Sea day I spoke about above. I'll be doing private tune-ups for those who want them. We'll also have some hot shooter competitions going on. But the other thing I have on the books is a Halloween Evening Darksider's Ball. That's right. A Dark Side Casino Session for all who want to "Shoot from the Don'ts." If you're tired of losing on choppy to cold tables - here's your chance to turn the tables on the casino and book the house. Shoot from the Don'ts, establish a point then WIN on the seven. It's a whole different way do influence the dice.

Day Six will find us at Cozumel. And yes, we'll be there on The Day of the Dead. We'll have a full day on the island and it has sooo much to offer. The island offers miles and miles of beautiful undeveloped beaches and the excellent diving and snorkeling in the surrounding Caribbean waters. Swim with stingrays or dolphins, sample the delicious food and beverages that the island has to offer, or visit an archaeological site and learn about the ancient Mayan culture. Me? I'm planning to take a Day of the Dead private tour on the island, then spending the rest of the day hanging out with the ex-pats at Wet Wendy's (www.wetwendys.com) slurping one of their signature frozen cocktails and munching on appetizers all afternoon. Ah, for the island life.

That evening we weigh anchor and steam back toward Ft. Lauderdale. Day Seven will be a full At Sea day with plenty of time to take one last turn at the craps table. Topside, the pool deck will be crowded with all of those tourists who just realized they've spent the entire cruise in the casino and need to get some sun on their skin so they can prove they've been on vacation when they get home. Sweet, icy rum drinks be damned. You'll find me on the smoking deck burning down a Cuban and sipping a glass of Glenfiddich.

Early in the morning of Day Eight we return to Ft. Lauderdale and disembark. Do we have a ton of fun things planned for this trip? Heck yeah. Can you learn something new, pick up a few chips, meet some great new friends and maybe get the entire thing comped via our pals at URComped.com? Yeah, that too.

Remember, the Seminar at Sea tuition covers the cost of the seminar and all handouts. MOST of those will be mailed to you in advance of the cruise. You're on your own for the cost of the cruise itself. Fortunately, we've made arrangements with our friends at URComped.com to help you get that handled.

Just click on over to www.urcomped.com and register. Once you've done that upload some of your best comp offers from the land-based casinos you visit. Take a snapshot of your higher rated players cards. If you can do a screenshot showing your reward points on that card and forward that as well that's awesome. And while you're at it - if you've had any cruise comp offers from prior cruises you've taken send those along as well. If you're a frequent cruiser with Royal Caribbean and have "status" with them URComped would like to know that, too. It all helps them get the best offer for you. Cruise on over there and register today.

We already have around a dozen signed on for this cruise - including MOST of the Axis Power Craps gang who attended Craps Cruise I. That's gotta tell you something. Make your plans NOW.

Hope to see you on Craps Cruise II.

One question, can we just book the cruise outside of URcomped? Do we need to register through them or can we book direct with the cruise line? I ask because we aren't regular customers as we live in Brazil of any US based casino so we don't have tiered cards....

URComped is a licensed travel agency and can handle that for you. If you book outside of URComped you will miss out on their shipboard benefits. The meet and greet party, free drinks in the casino any contests or incentives we run, Craig's presentation on how to earn more comps, and the end of cruise farewell party.

Now, an insider secret for you. If you can manage to get Craig Shacklett on the phone or by email, Craig's wife is from Brazil. That will give you some common ground.

Also, for future reference, Craig will be hosting a cruise out of Brazil later this year. Not a craps cruise but still a good time. If you will shoot me an email to axispowercraps@gmail.com I'll see if I can help put something together for you.

No problemo. Thanks for asking.

For the rest of you crapsters - we have a BUNCH of "regulars" on board already - names familiar to all of you. It's already shaping up to be another good one. I once again managed to snag a balcony cabin on the eighth deck. I had concerns about being on deck eight on the first cruise as that's the Central Park deck - AND the deck where the majority of the fine dining restaurants are located. Boy were my misgivings misplaced. Most sea days (when she wasn't in the cabin dealing with her motion sickness issues) the bride would find an empty park bench in Central Park and spend the afternoon reading a book. In the evenings there was usually live music out there - string bands and jazz groups for the most part. Nice bar plus access to the "Rising Tide Bar," a bar shaped like a ship that "floats" between the main deck (5) and Central Park. The trip takes about a half hour. Get in on Deck 5, order a martini and enjoy the slow ride up to the park. Or vice versa. Definitely a fun ship.

Of course, if I'm not in the casino you'll typically find me up on the "smoking" deck, burning down a Cohiba with some of the other cigar aficionados. Since the URComped members get their drinks comped in the casino - if you see me in the elevator with a double shot of Glenfiddich in each hand you'll know where I'm headed. Scotch and cigars, you know.

With all of the talk about how people gain weight on cruises - I was surprised on the last one to get home and find that I'd lost around 10 pounds. I suppose that's because I played my way through too many of those sit down dinners. Oh well. That and hiking around on those shore excursions. No, old Heavy doesn't normally walk that much. I think I'll add a little daily walk to my routine in the months leading up to the next craps cruise just so I'll be better prepared. I'm not trying to get my Speedo body back. Hell, I never HAD a Speedo body. In fact, it would be highly unusual to see me anywhere near the pool. After seeing all of the kids in the pool every day - I'm not sure there's enough chemicals on the ship to shock that water enough to get me to go in it. But hey, think of it as a mineral bath. LOL. If I were going to get in the water I'd wait until I got to Jamaica or Labadee or Cozumel where the water is so clear and bubbly you think you're swimming in 7-Up.

There's still plenty of time - and plenty of space on the ship. But the prime cabins go early, so if you're thinking about cruising with us then make your plans (and your deposit) now. See you on-board.

Question for you guys that went on the first craps cruise. My wife says you dont use cash on the boat. Everything is billed to your room. How are buy ins at the tables handled? Any other advice other than hit the back wall and dont buy the promo chip deal.

Hey Big O.

You can buy-in with cash. Or, you can buy-in using your Seapass card (room key) which tracks your play. The Seapass card is linked to the credit card you setup on the RCCL website after registering with URComped. You have the option to establish a line of credit through Casino Royale (RCCL's casino) or send a Wire Transfer ahead of the trip. They have a few FAQs on their website for this.

I was gonna do the wire transfer initially, but assumed somebody was gonna screw something up somewhere, so I opted to bring some cash and link the credit card if needed. I only drew one marker on the CC for $500. It was easy peasy, sign and play. I don't like paying interest when I don't have to, so I paid that bill off once it came in the mail. They do have a small room safe (big enough to hold a tablet, not a decent sized laptop).

I tried (several times) to wire the money to Royal Caribbean. What a disaster! Every time I called I was given an excuse that the last person gave me the wrong account number. I will not waste my time this trip...

Heavy, we also opted for the Central Park balcony this go round. I found my early morning coffee run was always to the cafe in the park. What a cool place to be when it's dark out.

I strongly considered the balcony on the park. I ended up on the park level again with an ocean view balcony - same side of the ship as last time but about 10 cabins down the hallway. I LOVED central park and so did the bride. On those mornings when she wasn't dealing with the whole sea sick thing (thank God it's not morning sickness, right?) she'd hit the cafe in the park for coffee and yogurt and sit in the park and work crossword puzzles while the rest of us did dice stuff. She loved it.

Heads up!

I've just updated the announcement at the top of this thread to include enrollment links for the Seminar at Sea during Craps Cruise II. Space is EXTREMELY limited for the Dice Control for Casino Craps session on the afternoon of the second Sea Day. We'll only have room for TWELVE students at the table. If you plan to be on this cruise and want to be a part of that class I strongly encourage you to register EARLY. Please read the enrollment requirements for ALL sessions.

Remember, the tuition for the Seminar at Sea covers the classes and handout material ONLY. The cost of the cruise itself is also your responsibility. Your best option is to book through URComped.com so you can be a part of ALL of the URComped activities on board. Read the original announcement in its entirety for complete details.
