What's Your Prop Bet Approach (if any)?

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

What's Your Prop Bet Approach (if any)?

If you insist on playing prop bets at craps that's your decision. But at least LIMIT the amount of action you're going to toss in to the middle of the table. Set aside a specific portion of your session bankroll for props and don't bet a buck more on them. You'll be dollars ahead in the long run.

For example. Buy in for $620 and ask for the $20 in white chips. Put the $600 (stack of green and a stack of red) in the front rack and the stack of white in the back. The front rack if for your Pass Line and odds bets and Place bets only. All PL and Place Bet wins are returned to that front rack.

Your prop bets are made from the white chips in the back rack. All prop bet wins are returned to that back rack.

The front rack will pretty much take care of itself. If you manage it correctly, so will the back rack. Let's say you take $4 and play all the hardways. The hard six rolls and it pays $9. You press all the hardways to $2 each and lock up $5 in the back rack. You now have your bets paid for and a $1 profit there. Just continue to play, doing your best not to add more money from your rack to replace a bet that loses. For example, if you $2 hard four falls tell the dealer to split the $2 hard ten with the four and give you a buck each on them. Now you have all of the hardways covered again without adding additional money to the prop bets and you still have a buck profit locked up. And if one of your hardways hits you just repeat the earlier step. Press the one that hit or press all of them - but lock up some sort of profit out of the payoff.

Continue to work your prop bets only out of the back rack. As long as you have money in that back rack you can play the props. But if things go south and you suddenly find yourself with NO chips remaining in the back rack - you are THROUGH playing prop action for that session. You've hit your prop bet loss limit. Stick a fork in it. Prop bets are done. Focus on where the profits are - the bets you're making out of the front rack. And if you're smart you have a loss limit for THAT rack as well, and if you hit that loss limit you hit the road.

I have very little experience or study with re:prop bets. The times I do play them I prefer to utilize as my primary wager instead of a side wager for fun. It requires a different mindset form the more common: Low H.E. methodical compounding mentality.
I like to use three of the 2,3,11,12 with a very slow negpro that gets fed by the low H.E. wagers/ hope for quick-strike lightening parlayed hit. Very volatile though sometimes it hits gold. I prefer to only utilize on my own shot and focus on hitting my desired extreme#s.

I play $1 on the hard 4 and 10, with a piggy back for the dealers on the hard 4. I parlay when they hit. $1 can get you a quick $56. Gets the dealers excited too.

Unfortunately I toss a great many 3/11’s on my tosses, either a ODOA with a single axel set or double pitch V3. So annoying not being at a crapless table considering the high vig on horn bets. Knowing the hi lo is few and far between, I just bet the shocker on the come out.

Friends don’t let friends bet The World, worst bet on the table next to fire bet. Go three way if you must and save two dollars.

Prop bets should be called what they are. Prop-erty bets. The way the casino pays for it's property. I do like a world bet now and then, though..especially when a shooter can throw that stuff. The center section of a craps layout is where the casino makes its money. Now
that you know that..

I just cannot wrap my head around this thought. Especially the 7/11 components. You already win at the pass line with only 1.4% against you. So you double dip at 13.89% against you? Three way craps saves you two dollars and pays MORE because you don’t bring back the useless 7/11 components. Make it a New Years Resolution! No more World bets!

I tried this at the Beau Rivage past Week with you tossing the dice and you tossed several sevens on the come out roll
Killing my 3 way craps.

Loving the World bet

Two things on my GWAG. I try to toss sevens & 11’s. If something goes Wong, ace deuce is the likely culprit, bet that. Listen to Irish above!

I love the hardways and bet them when they are hot.
Also love the whirl bet, on high limits tables only.

I either bet 10$ whirl or all hw high 4&10.

And double or half paylay depending on streaks I have tracked in the session.
