the hop system

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

the hop system

This may have been discussed somewhere in the archives. Basically you place the 4,5,9,10 and hop the 6s and 8s for the minimum. The amt. of money you use on each can create a profit no matter what hits. The seven out is the worst case scenario here..the craps numbers and the yo are pretty well covered by the amt you get for the hops over time. Haven't tried this on my table or anywhere else except WinCraps where it fared so,so since a string of yo's and craps numbers and 7s appeared. After they stopped, it was a pretty good winner.

Just ran a sim on it with WinCraps using the following bets: $15 on 4, 5,9, 10 and $15 hopping the sixes, $15 hopping 8s. That is..$5 on each combo of six and eight. Start was $1000. First roll 12..$967. Next roll 8..$1017. 6H got me to $1142. Six again got me to $1192. 6H again..now I'm at $1317..
Did throw a seven which cut it down, but it came back again. It's interesting.

Why not add a $10 craps to the bet as well.

Run a small sim of . . . say 1200 rolls and see how it plays out. Should be easy to script in WinCraps if you're familiar with writing WinCraps scripts. If not, Steen might be willing to help.

Forgive my ignorance but with WinCraps is that just random tosses? If a DI has a propencity to throw hardways then this could be profitable

I supposed this for the DI inclined. BUT it might work to some extent in generalif you set the bets right..maybe $3 each way for the 6 and 8. This is lower level stuff. Will experiment with $25 table.

Forgive my ignorance but with WinCraps ... profitable

If you have the full (paid) version of WinCraps and some programming skill there is a "skew" function in there that allows you to program in an advantage over any bet you wish. That effectively let's you program in a DI's advantage is you use BoneTracker to analyze your rolls and know your advantage on specific numbers or bets.

Never mind I was thinking hopping sevens not 6 or 8. I answered my own question.
