Roulette Prediction?

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players are winning at blackjack, poker, video poker, and more. Have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or table games other than craps? This is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps.

Roulette Prediction?

Post by Nicky Lightning » Mon Jan 08, 2018 5:51 am

I was wondering if any one here has experimented with trying to predict the outcome of roulette based on the speed of the ball and wheel? I’ve seen some website selling there system and watched some videos on it, whether there faked I don’t know. I was crunching some numbers and if you were to bet a 10 number sector you would only need to be correct 30% of the time to be profitable.

It was done by a team in London quite successfully I hear a few years back until they got caught. They had calculated ball and wheel speed to bet a certain sector with good results.

You are not going to have success with some similar system bought off the internet. If I knew the key to sector tracking via ball and/or wheel speed I'd be going quietly about my business of never having to work again. The system would most definitely not be for sale.

The best thing to do is make a dealer bet in the sector you're betting and hope the dealer is good enough to quarter the wheel.

I seem to recall hearing that there is software out there that can use the video camera in your cell phone to predict what sector the ball will fall into. Of course, that'll get you tossed in jail. LOL.

I do sector-track and use past results as a predictor - looking for a five number sector to bet. It works surprisingly well with some dealers. With others - not so much. That's when I play the old Heavy's Maximum Ass Time Grind.

You may want to get more into trying to a "dealer signature" type of strategy, if you are serious about roulette. Looking at if there is an exploitable pattern to how a dealer spins the ball/wheel. I tried and failed.

I recommend the book "The Roulette Formula" by Kimo Li. It explain for numbers on the wheel in relation to the layout and divides the wheel into 6 sections. This helps to bet in sections of the wheel quickly.

I been watching electronic roulette at the casino. I've notices that you can bet 5 seconds after ball been release. Lets say you notice what number the ball was release, when it came out of the shoot. Wouldn't you be able to perdict what sector was going to hit. Any thoughts?

My girlfriend likes to play the electronic roulette. We've played at a few casinos in the past year or so, and every casino runs the electronic roulette a bit differently. I'm guessing that for a given area of floor space in the casino, the electronic roulette makes more "spins" per hour, and subsequently makes more money than the standard "live dealer" tables, so they're showing up more and more. And there's no person making hourly wages working it either, so less expense for the casino. The Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Canada has quite an elaborate layout for their electronic roulette, with over 20 terminals working off a single wheel.
So what I've noticed is that some places will give you the hot numbers from the prior spins. It's looking at the prior 50 or 200 spins, different at different places. What's interesting though, at each terminal you can select to view those prior results graphicly on a roulette wheel, where they show a bar graph running radially from the center, out to each individual number on the wheel. The propensity of hits in specific sectors on the wheel is quite obvious on that graphic. Since those units are completely automated, there is a greater bias towards reproducibility, at least it seems so to me. I'm sure that the units are programmed such that the speed of the wheel is varied slightly and the instant when the ball is projected out onto the raceway around the wheel is varied slightly from spin to spin, but that graphic definitely shows that areas of 5 or 6 numbers next to each other have inordinately more hits than the other numbers on the wheel. All that said, I have not yet gained enough confidence in my observations to reveal an advantage, or to wager anything significant on those electronic roulette wheels.

A significant part of Xploitation Roulette, which I offer for sale from time to time in the Newsletters, deals with wheel sectoring and predicting where the ball will drop based on prior outcomes. I played it very successfully back in the late 90's and early 2000's on table games and find it even more effective on the automated "air ball" games, which are essentially just slot machines using a "random" number generator to kick off results. As with playing against an RNG on a slot machine, if you sit there and drop enough coins in one you'll pick up a pattern you can exploit with some measure of success. With Xploitation you identify a repeating sector on the wheel (they'll show up) and then play a five or seven number spread for either a seven or five spin series. If nothing hits in that series you're back to tracking. It's worked remarkably well for me.
