Baseball Sports betting

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

I won both bets yesterday. The Yanks/Dodgers parlay, and the Nascar pick...which paid 3.5 to 1.

I don't really like any of the games today, but I am sure I will find something to put a small bet on.

Todays Play.

Parlay Rays, A's and Mariners. Pays 4 to 1

Parlay Dodgers over 4.5 and Padres Under 3.5.

I will be on them tonight taking the points. In my bracket I finish in the money if Virginia wins....so I will shoot for a middle.

Did you see the pic on espn site of the bet that was made last November for Tech to win it all? He bet $1500 at 200-1. He should clear $300,000 plus original bet.

If I were him I would put $100k on Virginia. At this point you have to lock something up.

I hope he put some money on Virginia....

Yesterday was typical when I do a 3 team parlay....I go 2-1. Baltimore has been my nemesis so far this year. I placed in the money in my bracket, when Virginia won, but I did shoot for a middle by betting Texas Tech +1.5.

Today's play. The only game I really like is the Mets, with Degrom pitching, but I don't want to lay -180. So I am going to parlay it with the early game.....Tampa. If that goes down I will find another game to parlay it with.

To avoid the juice I am also playing the Mets the following way. To score first and win. This pays better then even money. I do not think Degrom will give up a run.

Hi,
Funny you should mention the 2-1 nemesis; last January I reread John Patrick's "Sports Handicapping" book. I only read the knowledge part & the football part {as his money management and other stuff is the same as in his craps book}. In it he talks about three team Round Robins.... i.e a total of three bets composed of A+B, A+C, and B+C; or my preference would those three, PLUS the three way A+B+C. I've mixed that strategy in with different bet amounts for my NFL action with some decent results. I'm curious what your thoughts are on R-R vs 3 ways.

Also being in Virginia today, its been crazy since last nights win! Especially happy to taunt all my Maryland friends.......hahaha

Good luck with DeGrom, D.N8r

Thanks. I got on Degrom at -220....right now it has gone to -250. I made another parlay this evening. I parlayed the Mets tonight with Calgary and Washington to win their hockey series.

I have the same book and I was on JPs service for many years. I will answer your round robin question at a computer tomorrow.

Well Degrom had a historic run. It was fun to ride while it lasted. Last night he got shelled.

As far as round robins go. If you normally play a $10 3 team parlay and you lose, you lose 10. For a round Robin, if they all lose you lose $$30. Of course you could do a $3 or $4 round robin. They work good for even money bets, like you mention in football, where you can win if only 2 of the 3 come in. They do not work as well with heavy lays, where you are taking 3 big favorites, because even if two of the 3 win, the one win does not cover the two loses. In baseball, I am usually on heavy favorites, in football I do mostly teasers. Or I have two heavy lay baseball games hooked up with a favorite in football on the money line. I try to never have to overcome points in football, I always take the money line or use a teaser to get it as close to a pickem as I can.

It is funny you asked about the round robins. I asked JP the same question many years back, why he talked about round robins in his book, but rarely used it on his service.

Today's play is a two team parlay. I am going with Cleveland and Oakland. I have been bitten 5 times by Baltimore, so we shall see. Pays almost 2 to 1.

I was on them a few days ago. Today, I planned on parlaying them with Tampa, but they hadn't released the line yet.

Back when I was betting FB, I tried to do my parlays this way: Two early games, one afternoon game so I could get a bet in on the other team if my first two won. A four teamer? Two early, one afternoon and one later. Bet the other afternoon team just enough to cover my nut (amount bet), then if I had three winners waiting on the late game, then bet ~50% more or less against my team. It worked pretty good. If I lost an early game, the reload on the afternoon, late game. For the brave, which lets me out, run a 2-3-4 teamer. If you win the 2, you covered your bets.
Forgot: When Dak became QB for the CBs, he ran off, I think it was 9 or 10 wins on the money line. No, I wasn't that brave.
Your craps plan? The dice gods laughed.

Shoot it All. I do it a similar way...just use 7 point teasers. You can pick up a bunch of middles that way.

Thanks for the heads up SR. I am now on Seattle hooked up with Tampa and Boston to win their hockey series.

Cleveland lost killing that parlay....but Tampa won which I parlayed with Calgary and Washington to win there series.

I am taking some of my Nascar winnings and putting it on Bubba Watson to win the Masters. $25 pays $850. I normally dont bet that much but they offered and
Insurance that I get that back as a free bet if he finishes Top 3.

I like Justin Rose at 14-1 at this year's Masters. That's a good payday for Bubba though. Also for a dark house - Snedeker at 80-1.......and I might sprinkle a few $$ on Finau at 30-1

You should add Kansas City to you heavy dog list. They are terrible. Probobly will lose 100 games this year. They cannot hit a lick.....also no betting on the Mariners for the next week. We will be playing Houston and Cleveland for the next six games. We will see if we can compete with two of the playoff teams this year or not. ....we lead the league in homers, and runs scored and in ERRORS. And our bullpen is absolutely hopeless right now,so basically the games are not bet able until we get some more information....rick

I have. Yesterday I put in a parlay with Oakland, Seattle and Bryce DeChambeau to win the Masters. $5 paid about $450. There was some glitch and it did not go through!

So far my play today is a Baseball series bet. Yankees to beat Wsox, Phillies to beat the Marlins and and Indians to bat the Royals.
