Software or apps to practice video poker

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

I use WinPoker. It's fantastic. "The dog's bollocks" as we say over here 😄

Traditionally Bob Dancer's Video Poker training software has been considered best, but it may be dated. I haven't looked at VP software in years, so I'm certainly not up to date on the latest.

I’ve used Dancer’s strategy cards. Very solid material. So much so that they changed a lot of the algorithms in the machines. That’s where I’d look first as I think it’s still his niche, DN8R

Video poker for winners by Bob Dancer is probably the best training software, but it's not available for your phone or tablet. They don't seem interested in going that route. WinPoker advertises for the iPhone, but I can't find it in the App store. If you are okay playing on a computer, I'd go with Bob Dancer's software. I have an old version running and it's very good.

My preference is to have a good trainer for the iPhone or iPad, but I can't really find anything available as of yet.
