No Lay Bets on Bubble Craps at Harrahs Cherokee

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

No Lay Bets on Bubble Craps at Harrahs Cherokee

Post by advdel77 » Sat Jan 11, 2025 10:16 am

Has anyone experienced this? It has lay bets on machine but will not allow lay bets? Not that it’s a big deal but I like to experiment with different systems at lower amounts before I go to the table. I guess the casino changed it because you could lay bets before

A lot of the Bubble Craps machines won't let you play both sides, whether it be, for example, a Doey Don't or a One Hit - Can't Miss. They simply don't want you playing hedge systems with zero exposure. So a $25 DP with offsetting bets on the right side won't play. I'm assuming they don't have a factor in there for equal size offsets - just a general rule that says you can't play both sides in that game. If you don't like it I guess you have to go to a live game. Unfortunately, at Cherokee that probably means playing a $25 game.

Thx for post advel77

"...The little individual bubble craps will not allow lay bets..."

If your referring to the (small cylindrical shaped bubble with two very small dice) I wouldnt play unless forced (e.g., Free play can only be played on slots or ETG). A carnival game in my opinion. These cylindrical heads-up versions are the ones by Interblock and IMO just a slot machine. My sources say they allegedly have a built-in hold (often approaching ~~9%). Of course my sources could be wrong. Ive played them but only once or twice when my casino required free play to be used at slots or etg games. If my casino allows FP on ETG such as roulette I play roulette vs the above craps gm.

Every time I walk by this annoying craps game I think of the 1990s Chevy Chase movie Vegas Vacations. This is the one where Chevy and his country cousin Eddie are downtown vegas and decide to go in the El Cheapo Casino. They offer all kinds of "carnival" type games: Coin flip, rock paper scissors, pic a number between 1-10, war,...etc. Of course they are all rigged and him/cousin Eddie take a beat down doubling up and losing on every bet / game.

On the individual bubble craps where only you are the shooter you have to make either a pl or dp bet before making any bets.
Most are $3 minimums.
All I have seen allow lay bets.
