Tipping

Post by Finisher7619 »

Has anyone said that they wanted to control a pass line bet for dealers ? I have seen this with place bets . I make pass line bets for them but they always take all wins . S I do add one dollar on top of my pass line bet so not to have to take out of rack to replace .

I always snowcap my pass line bet so that it feeds the side bet I place for the dealers.

Yeah, capping your bet with a buck to a few bucks is a common way to let the bet ride and you just hand them the payoff on it if the bet wins.

Whenever I piggyback dealer bets on top of my own HW bets, I always declare that, "I'm in control". That way, their bets don't disappear when they win. One time, I tossed five Hard 4s without a 1-3 in the mix. Since I was "in control" I pressed their bets just like mine and they made as much as I did after the second bet. It's a way to keep them in the game AND pay them well without having to skim from my own profits. They never forget if that ship comes in.

Yeah, on Hardways (say the Six and Eight) I'll often bet $5 and $1 piggybacked. If it hits I parlay mine to $50 and press the dealers to $5 and let them drop $5. If it hits again I get paid $450 - I press to $100 and lock up $400. The dealers get pressed to $25 and they lock up $25. They are always getting a bump on their bet but they're always dropping some as well, whereas I parlay my first hit.

Also, if I am not playing max odds on a 10 or 20X odds game, instead of making a PL bet for the dealers, I'll play additional odds on my bet (offset) for the dealers and announce that "that extra $5 or $6 is "shoes" for the dealers." If the bet wins they get the odds payoff but I keep the bet so I can play it again.
