Progressions (lots of math sorry)

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Progressions (lots of math sorry)

Post by Inspector » Sun Oct 20, 2013 11:00 pm

I thought I would take a moment to compare 2 progressions.

First some assumptions:

Table is a $5 table (as that is what I wrote the chart with)
All Vig is paid on the buy.
The initial -# under the rack column shows the initial bet cost.
The rack column represents the money from the bet that you put into your rack ( obvious I know, eh.)
Because I am comparing 2 progressions there is no regression ( I know we need to regress to lock up profits at various times)

The first Progression in a 50% rounded up progression.
The second Progression is a full press then same bet progression.

Something seems off to me. On Line 32 you have $1 to the rack and press to12, but line 33 seems like more should go to thr rack...no?

Dave,

The win going from line 32 to line 33 is $14, $6 of which presses the bet to $18 and the remaining $8 is added to the rack to go from $2 to $10

Ahh I see now. I was jumping ahead of myself thinking the $2 was the win for line 32, not the current rack count after the press.

Hey Inspector,

I use to do the full press every second hit. I did little tricks to keep track of when I was to press or take but after a while it would get distracting. Either it will ruin my concentration when I was shooting, or make me miss out on cues to turn off my bets when someone else was shooting.

I've gone to doing the 50% progression, similar to what you stated with some exceptions.

1) I start of with a press on the first hit. So it would take 2 hits to make my money back, but I would have 3 units on the number ready for the third hit.

2) for the 4/10, I'd go $5, $10, $15, $25. A little bit slower than yours, but those numbers are hit less. Also i like seeing that quarter out there. Then after $25, it's easier to go $50, $100, $200, basically just doubling that place bet.

My question to you is how do you start off? Do you go across, or start with a fewer higher bets then regress like MP's $204 across?

Have you considered engaging your WAGER PROGRESSIONS perhaps

post the perhaps first two rolls of dice in a young hand ?

The M P $204 Across is a seriously *STRONG play in that the ADVANTAGE leverages
the bulk of your $204 with substantial PROFIT PERCENTAGE early while the hand is still young.

There is a vulnerability to LOSS to THE POINT SEVEN OUT (P S O ) and
THE POINT ,ANY NUMBER ROLL, then SEVEN OUT ( P-#-O )

IF (THE BIG IF ) THE WAGER MAKER REMOVES THE $204 ( or whatever ) early after one or two rolls

This is a STRONG PLAY when one honestly acknowledges the HIGH % of hands at a TYPICAL
craps table ending in less than 8-10 rolls of THE DICE......

As a D I types,we are going full out to fulfill wet-dreams of MARATHON WORLD RECORD numbers tossed.....

By removing your $204 and a hefty percentage of YOUR NEWLY ACQUIRED $$ WINNINGS $$ ,
..you THE WAGER PLACER..may continue with reduced stress to WAGER into the next three
dealer shift changes......or DRINK GIRL visits....whichever..........

( Global WAGERS are strong except when lost to an early SEVEN OUT with the full amount
or near full amount still at risk....)

Just me saying

Wild Child

* my thoughts run toward also covering THE HORN #'s.
THE HOWEVER FACTOR is Horn Number Wagering MAY be charged with REDUCING the
$ return factored into winning TWO WAGERS of the original well thought out $204 Across

Well, I was using the MP $204 across but I found it hard to locate a DI to use it on. While I do see people who set and people who have a gentle toss they are not necessarily the same people. So I stick to betting that on myself only atm.

I use this progression to try to get my starting bet back as soon as possible on others that I bet on.
