I have been practicing and reading on DI. Since my trip to the casino is this week, I have started reading up on some strategies.
I found the following video on YouTube. I'm guessing most of you have seen it. This guy is not trying to influence the dice...
I would like some experienced thoughts on the system.

NonnyMommy,
I am confused.
You are attempting to be a dice influencer, but you are watching a video about a strategy recommended by a guy that doesn't try to influence the dice? (I am not wasting my time watching the video...systems don't work)
Just from this reasoning, I'm thinking you need to do a whole lot more reading of the posts here and on MP's site about what dice influencing really is all about before you make your first casino visit.

Re: YouTube Craps Strategy
This is not a strategy so much as it is just a pattern. And it is a somewhat logical pattern in that it uses a single "don't" number as counter balance to the other positive bets. So once you get set up with a $75 DC and many placed bets you break even if a 7 rolls. If any other number rolls except your DC number you win. Like pretty much all patterns in craps, it will win when the desirable numbers hit and lose when the undesirable number hits. You will find a lot of videos like this on you tube and they all seem to make perfect sense because the dice are rolling in support of the pattern. These people don't bother posting their videos where the dice roll against the pattern. What often happens in the casino is that the one number you DON"T want is the one that rolls. Notice that he has a DC bet on the 9 and then two 10s roll in a row. Seems great. Both of the 10s were winners. But there will also be times when the nine rolls 3 times in a row as soon as it becomes your "don't" number and then you will lose $75 three times in a row. That will be a killer. And there will likely be many times when you are trying to get that $75 DC bet established and it will be knocked off. Anything can happen. So you can take this pattern to the casino and for some period of time it will work. But long term it will fail. The way to win is to use a betting strategy or pattern, hope that the dice roll in your favor and STOP when you are ahead.
Patterns can be good, and I like them because they offer comfort in the sometimes confusing casino environment. But this pattern breaks a basic rule - never risk more than 10% of your session bankroll on a single roll of the dice. If you try this pattern in the casino and a 7 rolls when you try to establish your DC bet you're going to lose $75 - $100. So this pattern could work and you will slowly win, or this pattern could fail and drain your entire $300 bankroll in 6 rolls of the dice.
There is a wealth of information about strategies on this site. Read up and pick the one that matches your bankroll, your need for action, the amount you're willing to lose, the amount you'd like to win and the time you have to play.

Realtime,
I know I need to read a lot more. That being said, I am taking everything in! There is no harm in learning everything I can.
Just by reading your post, I'm thinking you need to have an open mind.
