I apologize if I'm regurgitating a strategy that was previously posted. I've been reading other member's strategies and trying to tweak them to suite my play and make money off random rollers. Heck I'd like to make some money off my lousy shot as well...
Place 6/8 for $18 each
1st hit: drop $3 and go to $30 each
2nd hit: same bet and regress to $12 each, you now have $32 profit in the rack and $24 in play
At this point you can same bet until 7 out, take 1 or 2 hits then turn them off and start over on the next point/shooter, or press in any manner you see fit.
Obviously if you go a few shooters without getting two hits things could get costly but on a $10 minimum table I feel you have to be willing to drop $40 to get somewhere. Random rollers will through at least 2 6/8's often enough to make this a viable strategy IMO.
6/8 lock up $32 after 2 hits

Hi Tabletop, thanks for your comment. I agree you're not going to see an average of 2 6/8's per hand. Perhaps in a single session you might but in the long run it's not going to add up. However, we have to risk something to make something and I'm trying to learn strategies that don't require a huge initial bet or turning the bets off and snoozing at the table.
In the past I've simply placed the 6/8 for $12 each and turned them off after 1 or 2 hits (I was also laying the 10 but have given up on that front, I'm more likely to bet it now). The problem with this is when a long roll comes along you are sitting there with your bets off and a silly look on your face.
- Another option for this strategy would be to turn the bets off after the first hit and try to get the 2nd hit on the next point/shooter.

Re: 6/8 lock up $32 after 2 hits
My local casino is $10 minimum unfortunately. This blocks any $5/$6 bets from my thought process when scheming on strategies. When the table is full, which it often is, I have to wait too long to only bet on myself. Plus my toss needs serious work.

Anything can happen at a craps table...I do mean ANYTHING
Observe long enough and you will gather up some
memorable moments/events and characters / personas beyond what mere fiction writers may dream up
That said EVERYTHING (system wise) works at some time ( even if not in our lifetimes)
If you think you have a new never before seen game plan or become entranced by what is out there
DO TRY IT OUT AT HOME BEFORE RISKING $$$ IN A CASINNO
Just me saying
