Rebroadcast: Long roll – place or come bets?

I am fairly new to strategies and wondering on best way to bet on a long roll. I recently had a long roll and not sure which direction to choose. I have traditionally bet place numbers (inside-no passline) and pressed but recently tried out the three point molly (passline and two come bets). Is it better to replace come bets once hit or set up a place bet once they hit? (i.e., passline 6 with two come bets(5,10)- when 6 hits, replace with a new come bet or place the 6 and keep pressing on repeat hits? Increase #come bets to continuous come bets to cover all numbers? I know there is not a correct answer, but looking for reasons for each strategy, thanks.

Now to piggyback on the original question, when making come bets, does it also make sense to increase your come bet at intervals so as to maximize wins on a long roll? How often and what would trigger an increase in the base come bet? The return of your bet? Especially if playing a 3x4x5x table. It seems to be a lot of work, but then again the money would be rolling in. Isn’t it just easier to convert the come bets to place bets and use a press schedule from there? What is the cost of conversion? (i.e. the difference in money won Come Bet vs Place Bet). On a long roll it could add up.

Personally I prefer the conversion strategy, but curious what it costs us?

I made exactly three come bets over the course of the weekend at Tunica. The third one got knocked off by an on-axis three-craps. Screw that. Place the nine. On the other hand, if I commit to play the Don'ts I'll stand there and push out Don't Come bets until the seven comes home.
