I sincerely hope that no one thinks that this post is intended to preach which bets one show or should not make. They are just facts, nothing more.
There are some bets on this list that I have made and some that I have not and never will.

Yeah, an unfortunate aspect of DI is that a lot of guys look at these bets as a "CHALLENGE" to their ability to influence the dice and they build strategies around them - not unlike the old World/Whirl Come Out strategy.
The Fire bet is a great example of a terrible bet that I can't imagine ever getting behind on. A couple of years back I hit four or five out of six numbers something like six times over the course of a weekend in Vegas.
I used to use a lot of prop bets as hedges against various plays. However, these days I pretty much go "naked" on things like lay bets on even numbers.
The best approach, if you must play the props, is to set a very specific (small) portion of your bankroll aside for "entertainment" play and not go beyond that. Example - on a $500 buy in I might set $20 aside for prop play. I can't afford much more entertainment than that.

Recently witnessed a roomfull of experienced shooters eliminated in a zero SEVENS contest..
The challenge was to pitch six ( 6 ) times with zero seven.
One after another we self-elimated ( myself included)
Yet most all the same shooters have completed
the ten (10) numbers challenge(A challenge is a general term referring to things that are imbued with a sense of difficulty and victory.) some of the same shooters prior to and/or after the contest.

Ain't it the truth, WC. I've also seen "no sevens" contest where a non-setting "guest" beat every DI in the house. Such is the nature of the game.
Now, I threatened to do this on the other thread (sensible bets) and here I am, about to put my finger in the pot and stir it up.
Where does the "house advantage" come from on any bet? Well, it comes when the bet is resolved. The casino pays you less than true odds. The difference in what they pay you and what you should have received in a "fair" game is the edge or vig or HA or whatever the heck you want to call it.
So, let's talk about a great bet like $1 Midnight. House edge 13.9% or so. Call it .14 cents on a $1 bet. So when does the casino collect that .14 cents? When the bet wins, right? Therefore, there is no vig on a losing bets. You just lose the bet. Period. The vig is on the win. If you win - you won! Give me my $30 and down and keep your .14 cents. Who cares?

Okay, I have been advised off-line that my "midnight" math sucks and the casino doesn't keep .14 cents - they keep $5 from the payoff. Whatever. Give me my $30 and I'm good with it.

Well, that's going to depend on where you're playing, wudged. Most of my local joints pay $29 and up to win again on this bet. Vegas strip, Vegas downtown, Reno, backwoods. Odds differ everywhere it seems.

Interesting...
I've seen a few places that are 30 for 1 instead of 30 to 1 but those have been few and far between.

Gold Strike in Tunica now has the Small/Tall/All wager. The killer is that you are a number from getting a win and you make your pass point and then a comeout seven kills the wager.

UNHH!!Some summers back "H" caused BC to see a way to expand the come out target at minimal cost. UNHH!!All horn hi-3 hits pay the same; and the 7 pays enough for a $5 win. The YO does win both the horn and pass line bets, and all stay up. $10 PL & $5 horn hi-3. 10 of 16 on axis rolls are winners.
