Goal is to free roll the 6-8 or ($25 per shooter)
My usual play is bypassing come out roll then just betting 6-8 for $12. Collect on first hit then press the 2nd hit. Once in awhile I will do an iron cross for 1-2 units if the action is slow.
My theory for trying this iis if im going to have $24 at risk strictly betting 6-8, why not have more action and chance to win a few units with the potential $27 at risk?
With this in mind are there a more efficient iron cross hedge? (if there is such a thing)
Feel free to tweak or call out any math errors

After $25 turn off all bets except 6-8 and collect on hit 1 then press on hit 2 etc…..
bypass comeout roll
lay 10 for $50 = (wins) 25
6-8 for $12 = 24
5 for $10 = 10
field for $10 = 10
10 hops for $2 = 30 (is this correct?)
5 hard 10 = 35 (or should i hop the hard 10?)
2 = 20
3 = 10
4 = 10
5 = +2
6 = 0
7= 25 (lay)- 24 (6-8)-10 (5)-10 (field)-2 (hops)-5 (hard 10) = -27
8 = 0
9 = 10
10 (hard) = 35 (hardway)+10 (field) -50 (lay)-2(hops) = -7 or
10 (hops) = 30 (hops) +10 (field) - 50 (lay) -5 (hardway) for -15
11 = 10
12 = 20

I'd go look at Americraps "cake" method over on the Combining SIA's strategy thread. basically a DP combined with the anything but sevens strategy. Sounds like the direction you're going.

Haven't checked your maths but I will say there is a hell of a lot of vig there on all those bets.
Just singling out one aspect, lay the 10 but then you effectively bet it back on each roll via a hop and a hardway. Help me with the logic of doing that?
