I Accidentally Became a Pass player
Ever since I learned how to play craps, I've been a Don't player.
That changed a couple of weeks ago. I can't really pinpoint what was the defining moment, but I realised that I needed to make dice setters and their multiple rolls work for me.
So I switched sides and saw my wins and bankroll dramatically increase.
This is my new strategy:
Setup:
1) Place one unit on the Pass
2) Place $1 for Crap check (I stop doing this once I get a feel for how everyone shoots, and/or if they're a fellow dice setter)
Once the point is established:
1) I Place the 5,6, and 8 for the minimum bets
2) I'll place one unit on the field to back up the inside numbers, and vice versa (no matter what, I get paid)
3) I'll generally put $1 on the hardways if the point is a 4,6,8, or 10.
Once I've made back the money that I've put out there, I'm playing with the house's money at that point. I've just started to press the 6 and the 8, especially if the shooter/table gets really hot and they're hitting multiple points.
When the table gets cold, I'll just play the Pass...if it gets really cold, I'll just play the hardways (only if the point is one of the hardways) and ride it out until the table gets hot again.
Since I've done this, I'm averaging about $100/session playing the $5 tables with a $420 bankroll (I do this specific number so that I can get $300 in greens and a stack or reds ($5) and whites ($1). Helps me keep track of what I've won or lost during the session easier.
I'm hoping to build up a big enough bankroll (shooting for $1,200) so that I can press the inside and try out some other stuff.

That be basically the infamous Iron Cross, a system that is as old as the game. It can bite you. First time I read about it was about 1984.
Your craps plan? The dice gods laughed.

Yeah. I.C was my play of choice for a few years. Would switch it up to one IC after three rolls..seven rolls. All one hit and down. Basically $30 5,6,8 and $10 on the field. When it bites..it bites bad.

Naked because I seem to fair better with no odds (despite it being best practices).London Shooter wrote:Are you doing odds also KC or just a naked passline?
I've always known about the IC, but obviously never played it because of the Don't.

I often do a naked passline bet, especially if I am in parlay mode after a 7 or 11. Gets a bit tedious when the dealers keeping saying "no odds?"

Have you considered,on a $5 minimum table,
Place $44 inside.....
.Then after the Pass Line is established......Play serial D/C x 4 at $5 ea
and if you are going Field ,REMOVE PLACE $10 BOX Nine.....
Take down the DO SIDE WAGERS AS THEY ARE UNDERWRITTEN BY THE
Don't Come wagers times four
Should the hand progresses to the fifth roll,TRANSITION BACK TO
THE DO SIDE WITH $5 COME wagers............
ON THE FIRST SEVEN OUT . ....
.......Place chips center table announce " Color me out ! "
just suggesting

Hey WC,
Once I get a sizable bankroll, I'll probably venture out into some other stuff.
Although I've never had much luck with the DC, even during my DP days.
