In fact, I'm considering doing a Dark Side Pop-Up Class in Vegas sometime. If that's something that might interest any of you shoot me an e-mail at axispowercraps@gmail.com.

Has anyone ever tried a hardway set with a lot of spin to try and keep the die on axis but random on axis? I've toyed with the idea but I don't want to F up my current toss trying to develop a dark side toss.
I'd be interested in a dark side class but probably not a full Monty two day affair unless a lot of it was table time.

The humor of a massive thumb in eye show it gets me more than doing it. Seeing a bunch of people all darksiding a table has to be a show worth taking in. It has to turn into a dramatic situation as the right side players start getting pissed or screaming with glee as they get a few hits. I had a guy try to trip me once after I colored up and was heading for the cage. He had about $300 on the table when the SO happened. I had, as I remember, a $15 DP that had gone to 10 with lay odds of $30 and a $10 DC on 8 with lay odds of $12 in back. Could have been slightly different, but that's pretty typical of my play. Then again with Heavy and a bunch of wild crazy guys at the table..there is safety in numbers. Or no numbers.

Yep, I think a casual live Darksider's Ball session on a Saturday night - in conjunction with Crapsfest or any of our regular seminars would be perfect. Instead of on Saturday - perhaps on a Friday the 13th. Hmmm. Now I've got to look at next year's calendar.I'm not sure what Heavy has in mind, but if I do the November class with Heavy, I'll do a casual (and free) Darksider's Ball session again.
I'm also considering doing a small dedicated dark side pop up class in Vegas at some point. Based on the trend in enrollment for seminars these days, it appears that the smaller (six to eight students) classes are becoming the norm. A six person class is a great size for one coach. However, from a business perspective it does not make a lot of sense to pay a second coach to come in and help with the coaching. One guy can handle a class of six fairly easily - even if he is an old fart like me.
This gets me to where I think I'm heading with the seminar business beginning in 2019. I've been working on that much of the morning, searching for opportunities to grow the brand. Perhaps I'll post something about that on a new thread later. Right now I'm up to my armpits, recovering from a 10 day vacation that was followed immediately by a five night gambling/seminar trip. Good think I won a little money so I can pay this stack of bills...

That is what I currently do. Just curious to see if anyone has ever tried a high rev toss and what their results were. Never too old to learn.

An all darksider table would be amazing!
Ideally you would pass the dice if you hit a point and everyone else would refuse to shoot if you keep sevening out. Is it difficult to get everyone to agree to something like this?

If you have a good right side toss, which gives you results that are profitable, there is a set, using the same toss, same rotation, same arm speed, same landing zone that gives you profitable dark side results.Has anyone ever tried a hardway set with a lot of spin to try and keep the die on axis but random on axis? So true, so true, so true.........if you've got right side sets for come-outs and points, put in some Bonetracker time to yield you a lot of darkside options for come-outs, GWTG, and seven-outs. Just validate them with some tossing before taking them to the casino, as your mileage can vary......

Absolutely. We tend to try and make this game so complicated when it doesn't have to be.

I've spent my entire life in an work environment where if you didn't challenge yourself to improve and evolve you would end up like the buggy whip manufacturers who didn't change anything 100 years ago.
Because of that I went from a left hand overhand toss that didn't work to a right hand underhand toss that does work. When i get time I shall toss a few thousand high rev shots to see what kind of results I can generate.
