PGA Picks

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

PGA Picks

The Bethpage State Park Black Course is one bad MF. Tiger won here in 2002 with a score of -3 (277) and that was in his prime.
So, my pick as a favorite, which really isn't a favorite is Jason Day at 20-1, but I like Rory McIlroy 12-1 also. He has not been playing well since he got hurt over a year ago so I believe his ribs still bother him.
However, I have a little faith in some longshots. What this course takes is accuracy in every part of your game and you are severely penalized for every errant shot. My long shot picks:
Brandt Snedeker @ 150-1
Sung Kang @185-1
And for those interested here is where I got the odds: http://www.vegasinsider.com/golf/odds/futures/

I like Brooks. Long and straight. Not a fan of the odds though.

My book is offering Tiger at 15 to 1.

How do you even determine odds on a tournament which lasts four days? Day by day I can see it..Hi, Lo..spread, but betting on a human being over four days. You might as well go for a quick pick or a lottery ticket. A horse player once told me never bet on anything that is alive. Which was the heighth of irony since he played the horses endlessly.

I got in on Koepka at 11 to 1. He is now down to 2.5 to 1. However he is in a bit of trouble.

r: Everyone is in trouble on this course so what is happening now doesn't mean a lot. Right now, all are just trying to shoot par and stay in the hunt. I suspect the cut will be somewhere around +7, maybe more. What is happening is when a player gets in a sand trap, he is fooked because of the high banks he has to play a layup shot just to escape so basically, a sand trap is is a 1.5 shot penalty, not the 1 point penalty of normal traps, excluding the pot traps of a links course like St Andrews.
Limerick from St Andrews:

Oh, the dirty little pill
rolled down the hill,
straight into the bunker,
After 13, I was on the green
and then by God, I sunk her

It Koepka keeps playing like this, that cut number is going to be much lower.
