Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

The $40 XO working on the Come Out coupled with a $10 Red works great with DI's who can knock out the extreme outside numbers. If those numbers are not coming in then it's a bankroll killer. On players I don't know I play crapless like I play any other craps game except I avoid the Pass Line. Period. I just place the point if I want it. There is ONE difference. If a player I don't know is setting for and hitting extreme outside numbers I'll PLACE those numbers for table minimum and BUY them on the first hit. Then I sit back and wait to collect. One hit on a Buy bet on one of those numbers will pay for just about all of your other action, and if you regress or take down those non paying bets you can turn it into a profit situation real fast.
So on a $25 table how does this bet translate? Would it be $25 each on extreme outside numbers ($100 action) with a $20 or $25 Big Red WOTCO? I assume you buy the bets at that level. In Mississippi do they charge the vig upfront or on the win? What does the total action entail including the vig (if required)?
As you said, if you can't toss a horn number as the point on this bet it will become a bankroll killer really fast.
May be a good idea to have a handout for the Biloxi class that touches on playing the crapless game and betting strategies (if not already available). I can't remember.
Unfortunately, it took a few years, but MS casinos found out how great it was for the player for extreme numbers to be bought with vig on win. So they went to vig up front for $20 and up extreme buys. If you buy the extremes at $25@ you will be asked for $5!!! I would not WOTCO, you can't hop sevens, there are no hop bets on the Beau layouts except for useless horn bets plus big red.
You are right BD. It's basically equal extreme outside and any 7's bets. The any 7 bet pays 4 to 1, so it would cover replacing the extreme outside bets if a 7 is tossed. In MS vigs are paid on the back end.
It's a decent play if you can toss horn numbers reliably enough, otherwise it quickly becomes a bankroll drain.

Hi HOO --Which casinos in mississippi do you see this vig up front?
thx in advance,
Tgold
No VIG upfront at Horseshoe or Gold Strike In Tunica Mississippi, I was there this weekend. Not to be argumentative, but apparently it is not ALL casino's in Mississippi. I give them $100 for extreme, They place $25 on each extreme with nothing additional.
If your gonna color up, there needs to be paint on the brush.
ACPA: At this top of this page is a link to private message. Then, there is also "find a member", put in heavy and it will give you an email addy. Both work. sia
Thx Shootitall et al for prompt reply.
Good to know --I was wondering about that a few days ago(recalled seeing heavys request a few weeks back to not send private message as it was going to everyone...etc).
