25 or 20 years ago it seemed Random Number Generator(s)
were a wonder and scant to be found...
.
Finding one suitable to run
testing a Craps Wagering Methodology was a challenge.......
..
( Methodology leaves room for choices of multiple moves/reactions ........
...opposed to a strategy or system )
which may not so allow.........
.
In this cyber savvy universe of this century R N G programs are aplenty...
.
Just wondering what else is on the shelf I may want to know......
.
Do you have a favorite or have you custom written one ?
.
Are you are willing to share your Craps Wager Methodology ?
.
When ingrained through practice ,
a well rehearsed Wager Plan may be executed
with near zero emotional biased Buy In dissolving action.
.
Exercising a Craps Wagering Plan away from the Casino Craps Pit
helps to execute said Craps Wagering Plan when belt buckle to the Craps Table Live Play..
.
You practice an influenced dice toss to gain at least a degree of advantage over the outcome.
Your Wager Plan may be of the same in importance as your hands on TOSSING PRACTICE..

I couldn't agree more. We practice betting strategies every week at our sit-down kitchen table layout. No better RNG than just flinging the dice on the table and trying to turn a profit from whatever the dice give you. Another thing it really helps us with is practicing for the minimum bet we expect to see at the casino. We used to see a $5 table fairly often. Now those seems to be gone. Lately tables have ranged from $10 - $50 minimum bet. If we arrive Saturday we know we'll be at $15. So that's what we practice all week. Our strategy isn't completely different but we definitely put out fewer placed bets, or place things for fewer rolls of the dice if we're at $15 versus $10. On a $5 table we might start at $18 on the 6&8, regressing to $22 inside after one hit. On a $15 we're more likely to move a DC then place $18 on the 6&8 and $15 on the non-DC inside number. One or two hits and the placed bets come down. 3-4 rolls with no winners and the placed bets come down. I believe this practice is critical. Being conditioned to bet size, off triggers and the place and regress moves of our planned play bring great comfort to executing a plan amidst the distractions of live play in the casino.

You are so correct...Just tumppimng on the table top ( or in a shoe box is VERY RANDOM)
......
Before buying my first mock up green table cloth type LAY OUT
I stretched out 6 playing cards ( just ignored the HORN NUMBERS)

That went a long way to educating on making wagers and pacing my action.
In those salad days,I seldom even touched the dice....99% of my DICE WAGERS were
Pass Line /Come WAGERS and Don't Pass /Don't Come Wagers.......
.
In time I purchased a R N G that was on D O S...( time period slightly before Windows)
A man named Salvador( can not recall his last name)

Sal had been R I F ed from an airline and decided that Craps would be his choice as goto career.
He played mostly in Atlantic City and Wintered in Las Vegas

Sal was a quiet soft spoken person.
People noticed he was a steady, consistent ,frequent visitor to the Cashier's Cage
With some encouragement from assorted players,Sal burned some copies to disk
and sold a number of them of his R N G program

His was very intuitive and comfortably User Friendly
It would REWARD and PUNISH for SEVEN /ELEVEN and HORN NUMBERS
BOTH FOR .....RIGHT SIDE...and DARK SIDE,depending on your choice....

PLACE WAGER(s) P/L COME D/P D/C LAY against a number Wager(s)*

You could select the number of players UP TO TEN if I recall...
so it was able to DRAMATICALLY able to DEMONSTRATE
.
* AS I recall, there was no HORN,HARD WAY ,FIELD or other PROP WAGERS as such*

.
the effectiveness of several WAGER PLANS to a number of Randomly GENERATED NUMBERS....
.showed IN $$$$$$$ AMOUNTS

For a virtual experience,I was satisfied the performance was close to the randomness
observed in my generally just dumping two die on the surface............
.
Years moved on and I became curious and interested in effectively TOSSING DICE
So I sought to start my ongoing journey to comprehend tossing dice to some degree
of influence.............

The package was a sheet of instructions and one of those old time "floppy Disks"
Simple enough and he sold them as I recall about $20.....

Eventually I moved on to a %#@!***&^(_)!~ Windows machine circa 1998.......
I lost track of Sal and do not know if he is even still in this mortal life.

Over the years I have wished I had held on to the antique D O S system computer
and the R N G that Sal had written..............

From time to time I notice there are available other offerings...
Just not as comfortable feeling as the one I started using.........

That is my story and I'm sticking to it.
