Win Craps Simulation

So i have been practicing on Wincraps the following strategy/script:
Qualifying shooter using Grafsteins qualification of either rolling 7/11 on come out or successfully completing first point.
Use $10 pl then with single odds then use a small positive progression upon every successful point that is won.
Then played the $6 6-8 and progressively pressed every other win.
What ive noticed establishing that 2nd point comes far and few in between. Looks like an average of 3 successful shooters of 2 points or more every 20 shooters. Just took an generic tally to see how it would go. Have done about 10-12 sessions of 10 qualifying shooters.
Does anyone else practice on win craps just to get a feel of playing a particular strategy?
While this hasn't been a consistent winner, it hasn't been a bankroll killer either? Been on the same buy in of $500
I know there are stats out there that start with "after 1 million rolls, the stats say......" but who actually tracts and applies stats of 1million rolls?
Thoughts?
Suggestions?

Well, it's been awhile since I've done it but yes, I've run numerous betting strategies through wincraps auto-play function for a million rolls before. It was amazing how many times a strategy would perform like a racehorse for 150,000 rolls - then head straight to the glue factory.

Hi cubsfan,
I regularly do very similar to you using either Wincraps or the free game on Wizard of odds. I'll run a strategy for batches of 10 shooters and note down the profit or loss for each one, then build this up over say 10 sessions and analyse. You'll get outliers, especially on the profit side if you happen to catch a monster in the mix, but essentially it gives me a feel for what I might get in the real world.
The answer may be something along the lines of -200 to +150 as the expectation level with only a very slim chance the actual result falls either side of these parameters.
The million rolls thing has its uses, but it will just confirm that any strategy loses in the long run e.g. at about the rate of 1.41% on passline etc.

Oh, and the other thing I forgot to say is that the online simulators also give you good practice at the moves incorporated in the strategy such as when to press, by how much and so on. This means you are much less likely to get flustered in the real world, especially if you are looking at an unfamiliar play, such as dark side betting moves.

I utilize WinCraps all the time. I like to use it to practice scenarios described here on the forum and run betting strategies while entering practice tosses into BoneTracker. Like London Shooter said, it helps getting yourself practiced before entering the real world casino.

I use Wincraps as a random program. I posted a couple of youtube videos made using betting on the random table. One is called Beat the Chop. It isn't perfect, but it shows some of my technique in following trends, stopping..etc. I am in the process of making another one if I can get the damn sound to work right. I have just started keeping track of my winning and losing sessions with a buy in of $400 where I will stop at a $200 loss. I have been in the hole down to a low of $250 on only one hand and am ahead by $900. Of course I could run into a string of losses.I've only started doing this for 5 hands now. BUT..it is a simulator.Translating behavior with a simulator to real table is tough. It's real money and you have to have incredible focus to play your game with all the distractions. All that said..I would appreciate seeing anybody's method of play on this forum. Just make a screen capture video of you playing your method with WinCraps, put it on YouTube and give us all the directions to get there. Come on. Be brave.

Wincraps is great, as is Steen the creator of it.
I'm currently building out several auto bet scripts. Including Heavy's heat seeker.
Sims are great but when the house advantage skews yghebsim has to take it. In reality would you stay at a table that went south on you. No you'd walk away.

Here's an example of how I used WinCraps back about 10 years ago. I was approached by a guy who wanted to hire me to toss the dice for him. He wanted to pay me a percentage of wins and I would have had not participation in losses. The only caveat was that all sessions had to be played in Vegas - essentially because he wanted an abundance of tables for us to rape. I asked how he planned to bet and he told me. Basically it was Bet Across - working on the Come Out - Pass Line - Max Odds - Continuous Come Bets taking Max Odds out of Pay Off on Place Bets. Never take down a Place Bet despite the fact that the Come Bet had traveled and had Max Odds. Toke the dealers $10 - $25 on EVERY hit. Need I go on?
Anyway, I took 1440 of my best rolls and plugged them into WinCraps. As I recall, I had the roll results re-seeded to build a million roll book keeping the SRR the same. In any case, this idiotic strategy took a nose dive early and never saw the light of day. I told the gent who wanted me to toss for him "thanks but no thanks." When he insisted I told him when I'd be in Vegas next and invited him to join me at the tables. I also told him we'd consider it a trial run and if I made him money - it was all his. But if he lost - don't blame me because I thought his strategy sucked. Suffice to say his live table results mirrored my Win Craps results. After . . . I think it was three sessions . . . he told me he was going to the room to get some more money. That was the last I saw (or heard from) him.

Sounds like this was a strategy invented by the dealers' retirement fund

Yeah, I thought so. The dealers loved this guy and couldn't wait for him to get back from the ATM.
