I have been hot betting the totals on teams, so I thought I would share. If this is against forum rules, I apologize.

Today's pick is a two team parlay. Detroit Under 3.5 runs parlayed with Cincinnati under 3.5 runs. Pays about 3 to 1.

I encourage discussions of betting on games other than craps. When it comes to sports betting - it's out of my league. I picked up a simple casino-published "How to bet sports" pamphlet at the Hard Rock in Biloxi when we were down there. It started out with about ten pages of terms and definitions. Sorry. My mind just can't wrap itself around all that new information. I know one rule about betting sports. Pick POWER over the DOG. That's it.

Cool. I will continue to post. And yes....a lot of my parlays are power vs dog...which has worked horribly so far this year. I was against Baltimore(an awful team) the first 5 days, and they went 4-1.

Well......that is gambling. I have ridden the under with Detroit. They have scored 12 runs in 7 games. Today they already have 5.

Maybe watch "Action" on Showtime. Sports betters in Vegas and AC. It's pretty depressing though. How to bet is explained fairly well..Over/under..
straight Money line, etc. IMO any of these pro sports betters who run "services" to help you win over 70% of the time make their money from you, not betting because all of them are continual losers over time.

Yes. I do all my own picks. I loved the Cincinnati pick so I parlayed that with Cleveland under. Pays 3 to 1 also. Fingers crossed.

Good luck on those parlays, I like a similar approach on NFL parlays especially with teaser action.

The sports betting glossary is as big, maybe more, than the craps glossary. All the services guys are self - promoters, I stay away from them.

Fox Sports One has "Lock it In" weekdays at 4:30 pm; while they continually taunt each other about who's plays are smartest - you can learn from their analysis and approach. I find it interesting to hear the analytics from a power and a dog perspective. ESPN News also has recently added "The Daily Wager" at 6pm, also trying to find a niche in the sports betting market. Both shows are trying to broaden their approaches. I DVR them to I can skip the stuff I don't focus on, ciao, D.N8r

Hey Darth. My favorite thing to do is parlay two Power baseball teams during the week, with a football team on the weekend. If the two baseball teams win, I will shoot for a middle. Big fan of the teasers too.

Yesterday....both parlays lost. Cincinnati got shut out. I loved that pick.

Today's picks.

I am parlaying todays Braves game with tomorrow's Yankees game.
Also parlaying Seattle to win with Cincinnati Under 3.5 runs. I will ride them until they learn to score some runs.

Yeah, those bats are in the ice locker. If you're looking for Cincy unders, you're gonna love the Bengals this fall.

I'm sure no one on this board is surprised that I might like 6 point teasers - i.e getting a $50 win from laying $60......

I like the three team 7 pointers. One on a 1:00 game, one on a 4:00 game and one on the night game. Opens up all kinds of possibilities.

Well Seattle lost killing that parlay. I jumped back on the Reds under and parlayed it with the Yankees tomorrow. Once again the Reds are scoreless so far.

Well the Reds still cant score. And the Braves won.....so if the Yankees win tonight I win both parlays. I may grab the Orioles +1.5 runs and shoot for a middle.

Today I am riding the same train. Parlaying the Reds under 3.5 with the Braves to beat the Marlins.

I saw that Reds score, well done. Is that the Braves money line?
Good luck, N8

Very nice, love me some parlays.

I'm an NFL guy, always have struggled with the betting on baseball. So, tell us, do you always bet parlays on run totals? Do you handicap for the starting pitchers? Home team? Or, just streaks like the Reds? N8

Streaks.....but the pitchers are taken in to account. If a team went over 6 games in a row and now they face Degrom......I wont touch it.

My most common play is parlaying two strong teams....but I have been hitting the totals pretty good.

I have this play also today...just for a few bucks since I have been on a good streak. Parlay Philles over 4.5 Diamondbacks over 3.5 Dodgers over 5.5. Pays 6 to 1.

The Yankees won....so I won bith parlays from the previous day. The Reds finally scored so I lost that one. And what typically happens with a three team parlay, I went 2-1, which of course loses.

Two plays today. I am parlaying the Yankees and Dodgers.
Not baseball.....but I am betting Kyle Busch to win at Bristol today. I dont think anyonw can beat him there. Pays 3.5 to 1.

Thnick: I watched #2 of Action, missed the first one. That documentary made me want to throw up. Those folks are sick. However, there was one gem in the mess: Betting too many games. If you are going to bet sports, one might want to limit his games. Fading 10% on every game is a recipe for disaster. Money line? O/U? To me, a much better gamble but most bettors want that line hedge. I quit betting FB two years ago when the lines were just so close (and basically still are) it was basically a coin flip.
Basketball? Are you shitting me? I noticed the scores in most games the missed free throws skews the line so I have no idea if the fix is in, shaving points or what. Anyways, that documentary really is an eye opener on compulsive gambling.
The wife watches more sports than I do and has never bet a dime on a game. Me, I prefer golf and watch that a lot.
