CARRYING CASH

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Howdy all,

The way that I get around those issues is to draw on my front money as a marker and when done at any session just ask to be colored up and if they ask if I want to cover the marker (winning or losing session) I just say No and head to the cashier with chips that are then converted to cash, Orrr, keep them in my pocket for awhile then cash them in later. As far as settling up at the end of the trip I either ask them to wire the funds back to my bank (takes a couple of days usually) or repeat the marker trick and cash out that way.

Good luck to all of us on our next trip to the tables!

Being the conservative that I am, when I travel any distance for a trip to the casinos I usually contact a host at the hotel/casino and arrange to send any significant amount of mmoney ahead to the casino cage, wiring it to them from my bank. That way the money is there waiting on me when I want access to it, even to the point of where I will ask for markers while at the tables to draw from the "front money" that I have sent in advance.
aeiou,

I also like doing the front money thing, there is one caviot, however...
They get kinda sticky if you just try to withdraw funds directly from the cage..
No problem getting a marker at the tables. They do not want you to take the funds to another casino. I imagine that you could win in an argument, however I have never tested it.

They have warned me, ...OK, we will honor This withdrawal, however we prefer you take it out in markers at the tables..It was stronger than a request.

Cash is King. I have a credit line in Vegas I rarely use. My corporate credit card (APC) has sufficient funds that I can draw against that at any ATM if I get desperate. If I'm that desperate it's time to call it a weekend as far as gambling goes and go take in a show.

JSX may be a good solution for flying with cash, it's like a semi-private plane (more people but almost no hoops to jump through at the airport.) Also, pretty cheap.

I just looked JSX up, they have a very limited service area unfortunately. I did check a round trip flight from Dallas to Vegas just to see how cheap the flights were, they wanted $1,278 for the flight and checked bags were extra. For comparison I checked Southwest from same airport on same dates and they were $388.96 with early bird and they allow two free checked bags. I guess when you are a billionaire an extra $900 is pocket change. LOL

I am sure the private feel is pretty cool though just probably out of the budget of most guys on this board who complain about a $25 table saying they don't have the bank roll to play on those. LOL

I have never had a problem flying with cash and I fly out to vegas 4-6 times per year. I just keep it in a bank envelope and keep it in my back pack and run it through the xray. Normally I fly with anywhere from $4k to $20K in the envelope and never had a problem.

JSX is ok but yes very limited for most and if you plan on flying on peak days/times it's not cheap for most people. IMO it's not a big deal flying with cash to and from Las Vegas as you have a built in alibi. I typically have a limit of like 100k cash if I'm flying commercial but only to and from vegas. If I'm flying with more than that it's private, jsx, or drive. Just don't be the idiot flying with 15k in 10s and 20s. Lol

Cash on a Cruise - When going on a cruise, do people that plan to spend a lot of time gambling tend to take a full bankroll of cash, have the money wired, or get a line of credit. I am new to the cruise thing and just curious what people in this group would typically do.

Thanks
