Eletronic/Mechanical Craps

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Eletronic/Mechanical Craps

Post by wild child » Fri Sep 07, 2012 10:56 pm

.
I will be visiting in the Las Vegas area in October,November and may have some time on my hands.

I am interested in giving a go on the new Electronic/Mechanical Craps Table Machines.

Anyone have a listing of locations ?

Is there an A P methodology for playing these contraptions ?

There is a list on Dice Institute and some talk of how to play them with an AP strategy. I am sure MP can provide the link. I would but its too hard on my phone.

Hi WildChild,

To say that there's been a LOT of discussion about the 'Shoot To Win' craps game over on the Dice Institute m-board, would be an understatement. :)

That thread includes which casinos in Las Vegas offer those games.

Bally's in Vegas has one. So does Harrah's. I think LVH has one too.

Hi WildChild.

From what I understand, determining if any of these 'Shoot To Win' craps-games are sustainably beatable (if at all); is more difficult than it might appear.

Based on what the A-P blackjack guys have had to say about their own exploits (and reading between the lines as well); my sense of it is that maybe 15% to 20% of the machines out there are exploitable to a degree (which may mean lots of volatility with very modest returns), and another 5% are very exploitable to the point where they don't even use their Players Cards in them anymore out of concern for being blackballed.

So if I've parsed the tea-leaves properly; that would suggest that you shouldn't spend too much money trying to determine which machines are beatable and which ones aren't...and then treading lightly if you do find any that are sustainable beatable.

Here's a video of the machine in operation at MGM. They also have one at Green Valley Ranch

I wonder if they track your time like a slot player for comps?

PappyVW....

I would not play the Vegas " Shoot to Win " machines. They are rigged to NOT let a progression player win. Most are $5.00 min.

with a $20.00 to $100.00 max. bet. NO GOOD !

At the online craps game @ http://www.BoDogCasino.com they have a 100 to 1 bet spread.....and they pay-out... real fast. They recently changed their

name ( ...to keep ahead of the ban on US players ) to ' BOVADA ONLINE CASINO ' .... but the above will direct you to their new site.

I will be playing dome-craps at MGM's ...Gold Strike Casino...in Jean, Nv..... $1.00 craps !

Their real craps table does not open until 11:00AM.

PS: I have found the Canadian Indian Casino's ( on-line ) to use fair RNG's. The ' practice ' mode seems to be the same RNG as the ' play for real
$$mode.
