Re: How to Color Up at a Craps Game

Are you all keeping a running count? I don't. Even if I keep the chips organized in the rack, it still takes time to count before handing them to the dealer. Since I usually play at table with a low number of people, the dice are out and the table is active rather quickly after a 7 out. If I try to ...

Re: do you play every shooter?

In one way or another, yes.
May just play the 6 & 8, but don't simply sit out.
If numbers hit, I will expand place bets.

Do you have a system for taking down bets or resetting bets?

Even when starting with just $15-$18 on the inside numbers ($66 total), progressing ones bet that $66 can increase to > 5 X or more of the original amount. When the 7 eventually comes out, its tough to see all that cash get collected by the dealers. Playing at home, my wife would take down all her b...

Field bets with hardway set (6-5)

Over the 4 day weekend, I decided to play with an idea I had. On the come-out roll I like using the 6/5 hardway set then change the set accordingly. 6s on top 5s facing me But this time, I just maintain this hardway set no matter what. Then I place a 1 unit bet on the Field and continue using this s...

Re: consistent income???

I am purely a recreational gambler. Don't have the time to put in the amount of practice to become a pro nor have access to enough casinos without traveling to/from being a significant expense. With that said, I enjoy the game of Craps and practice when time permits. Last visit to Vegas I saved my m...

This is sort of why I was asking and makes sense.
I have placed bets in what seems various ways and yes, they do figure it out.
I thought there was a "universal" language but then craps is a unique game.

Re: The bets for the dealer

Got it, thanks, but still interested in the official/proper terminology if a $3 bet for myself and the dealer is considered a $3 2 way or a $6 2 way.

Re: The bets for the dealer

Yeah, but usually after a buy-in you don't have any $1 chips.
If I toss them 2x$5 and say $6 2-way, I don't want them to say toss another $5 chip since it is really $12 and not $6 because the terminology is wrong.

The bets for the dealer

I thought I asked before but can't find the thread.
If wanting to bet $3 on the CE for me and for the dealers for a total of a $6 bet, is that a "$3 CE two way" or a "$6 CE two way"?
Couldn't remember if you call the bet amount for each ($3) or the total bet amount ($6)?

Re: Why not skip the come out roll and just lay the point?

Oh, so if the point is 4 and you lay $20 you actually get $10?
I was thinking that laying the 4 for $20 would get you $20. Was not aware that laying a number actually is the odds bet.
Now that makes sense.

Why not skip the come out roll and just lay the point?

Sorry if discussed previously but I don't venture into this section of the form as I am not a dark side player but this thought popped in my head. If the biggest down side of the Don't player is the come out roll, why not skip it and only lay the point so the odds are always in your favor. Granted i...

"No players, no game .", the dealer said.
I colored up ....
I read this as you were the only person at the table when the dealer stated : "No players, no game ." before you colored.
Why would they say that if you were still at the table?

At what point do you determine to play the Pass or Don't?

I tried flip/flop during a game or two but it wasn't for me. Kept opting for the wrong side each time. It was more frustrating than sticking within one side and riding it out. From that point I opted to always play the Pass Line. Others seem to always play the Don't. For those that vary, when do you...

Re: the $38 dollar play

Anybody ever used the $38 buy in? It was posted on another forum. You take $30 and place the 6 or 8. You retain the 8 bucks in your hand. 6 or 8 hits, you drop a dollar to the dealer and your bet goes to $66. That hits and you drop the last $7 and tell the dealer to go to $150. Or you take your $14...
