Table for Sale
Hello everybody, it's been a long time since I showed my face around here. I've been down on my luck lately outside the casino, and as such haven't been able to make it inside any casinos. I was hoping to not have to come down to this, but I'm looking to sell my 14' table. I purchased it a few years...

Re: The All, Small or Tall Bet
"All" actually pays 174:1 according to http://wizardofodds.com/games/craps/appendix/5/ (where you can find rules for almost all craps side bets) The rules about only placing the bets on a new shooter vs. after any 7 differ from casino to casino, in my experience. As far as removing the bet...

Re: The All, Small or Tall Bet
No, they do not pay true odds. The DC pays even money. If you decide to lay odds in addition to the DC, that portion pays true odds. 10,000 $1 DCs traveling to the 10 have an expected win of $6,666.67 for an EV of $13,333.33 10,000 $1 DCs traveling to the 10 have an expected win of $5,454.55 for an ...

Re: The All, Small or Tall Bet
Are you of the belief that a DC bet traveling to the 8 is a better bet than a DC bet traveling to a 10? SIMPLY NOT TRUE Correct, this is not true, as the 10 is the better bet at this time. < SAME ODDs.. Incorrect. An established DC bet on the 4/10 has a 2/3 chance of winning whereas on the 6/8 it h...

Re: The All, Small or Tall Bet
ATS doesn't have anything to do with the pass line bet. The odds are the exact same whether it's play on a regular table, crapless table, or added to your home game of monopoly.

Re: The All, Small or Tall Bet
Yes, but they also take down bets on a come out 7. I was asking specifically about Golden Nugget since you said they were not. If they were not marking other numbers on a come out roll, then it wouldn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Since they are, it will move the edge a littl...

Re: After a seven out - who hops the last point number
Random is once out of every 18 rolls (2 easy ways out of 36 combinations,) which gives a house edge of 11.1%
To get 0 edge, you need it to happen once out of every 16 rolls.
To get a player edge, you need it to happen even more often than once out of 16.

Re: After a seven out - who hops the last point number
For simplicity sake, let's just assume you are only hopping one easy combination which pays 15:1. -1 * (1 - x) + 15 * x > 0, where x is the probability of hitting the bet. (If you substitute in 1/18 for x, you get -17/18 + 15/18 = -2/18 = -.111 the recognized house edge) Solving for x gives: -1 + x ...

Re: Hedging the Fire all the way to the bank
$nakeeye$, no worries. A lot of stuff the past month and especially past week has built up and I had to say something. There's a lot more to DI than just throwing the dice and "betting properly." There's a lot of work that has to go into figuring out what betting properly means - and that ...

At least Chicago has the know-how and ability to clear the snow! However, I was astounded earlier when a plow came down my road. The last time it snowed like this, it was 5 days before I could leave the house..

Re: Hedging the Fire all the way to the bank
Very interesting - after looking at 12+ inches of snow and still looking at another potential 4- 6 inches overnight Looking!? I spent 3 hours today shoveling that shit, only to see the same 4-6 inches coming down on top of my (once) bare pavement/concrete/deck. I'll probably be tarred and feathered...
