Re: Come betting Question
Thanks Heavy and Irish for your thoughts on Come Betting and I'll definitely have to give it some more thought for the next time. It's been so long since I played a $5 table that I decided to give Come betting a try without a lot of thought other than placing the Six and Eight for $6 and making $5 C...

Re: Alternative Buy-In Question
Thanks all for weighing in with some ideas. I think I'll have to try to 1) see if can get $20 in chips from the Cage prior to walking up to the table or 2) make $20 worth of bets in a way that uses the full $20 amount such that I don't need any change as Heavy suggested. I don't generally feel the n...

Alternative Buy-In Question
Let me start by saying Etiquette is important to me. I always try to be polite and respectful of others when playing Craps and I try to play the right way. This past weekend I walked up to a table and patiently waited to make my buy-in for the next Come Out roll. Needless to say, the shooter proceed...

Come betting Question
How do others handle Come betting, or Place to Come back to Place betting? I played continuous $5 come bets on a $5 table after placing the 6 and 8 for $6 each this past weekend, which I don't normally do and I'm wondering if there is better way to play this way. I started with single odds on my com...

Re: Big Al's Army March
I like this one and I have a thought on a more achievable March, a Shorter version (Parade March) If you started with Placing the 5, and/or 9 and only try to March through the Four inside numbers (5, 6, 8, 9) it will likely be a more achievable (while less profitable) March. If you started with a $1...

Re: The point is established, What is your strategy?
Irish, Fair Enough and thanks for breaking it down for me and starting with the easy stuff first (What a relief). I hope you're not one of those "Dish it out but can take even a hint of Criticism" guys? No need to say any more about those type of guys. I hear what you're saying and it soun...

Re: The point is established, What is your strategy?
Irish, We get it, you don't like the 5 count. I'm not advocating it because I read about it in some book. I believe there is some math behind it but I guess I'm just dense because as you pointed out each roll is an independent event. Although the last time I checked we all seem to be interested in a...

Re: The point is established, What is your strategy?
$nakeEye$, I think that you and Irish might be saying the same thing in different ways. I think Irish might be talking about low populated tables meaning he only bets on his own controlled shooting and skips the randies (if there are only a few). It sounds like you and your AC crew generally play as...

Re: Moving the Don't Come
Does anyone who routinely plays the Don't try to place a number (or two) for a quick hit before the 7-out and winning on your DP bet? I know that I've heard Heavy refer to SIA's "One-hit Can't Miss" play and Heavy has even mentioned a play with a $25 DP along with $12 place bet on both the...

Re: $25 Min Table - Would they ??
MP, Thanks for the information, as its very interesting. I was definitely thinking about playing a Right Side "Doey-Don't" when I'm shooting and the question about playing at a Higher Minimum Bet table was from the perspective of giving me an opportunity to shoot more and/or wait less for ...

Re: $25 Min Table - Would they ??
So you could potentially shoot more often with less hassle as it seems like the higher min bet tables (like the $25 tables) are generally less crowded, at least where I seem to play. Might be worth a try sometime in the near future.

$25 Min Table - Would they ??
I'm wondering if at a $25 Min Table if they would allow you to bet a $30 Pass line along with a $25 Don't Pass (a Doey Don't), which is essentially puts only $5 is at risk). If you then follow the Pass Line bet with $25 in free odds you would be taking 5x Odds and reducing the House advantage to 0.3...
