Re: "Dicer's Two Hit and Down Progression"

Looks like a good strategy to me but there is something to consider. The charts don't do much to explain the volatility. $5Bill is right about being done at whatever level you are comfortable at when you are in the action here. If you decided to play this to the 5th level every time no matter what t...

Re: Ideas to combat sweaty fingers & sticky dice

I think gargoil has it nailed down here. In addition to clean and dry hands, if you add chalk or sand your finger tips a bit with an emory board every once in a while, you can "feel" the dice better. Be careful with drink sweat, chalk, antiperspirant, additives. It is against the casino ru...

Re: The Each Way Win Win Method

You are accountable for each house edge on each and every bet individually, every time, no matter what. DF can chime in about hedging.

Re: Freakonomics

I think a sound low edge conservative betting strategy applied on a consistent basis works too and takes away some of the guess work from the other. Reading a table and the subjectivity part of those strategies really frustrates me. That's just me though. I've seen heavy do it and gargoil had good r...

Re: What if there’s no shooter…?

You might want to see if they have an electronic version of craps. No Extra vig on those, you can actually buy the 5/9 for a better bet, and the payouts for sub $5 are actually pretty close to correct so you could grind a $1 / bet game and get used to playing with money on the line if that is the go...

Re: Do you ever hedge with a come bet?

If I understand correctly - place the 6, set out a come bet. 6 hits, collect and come travels, take down your place bet and set up whatever odds. 6 again, come hits with no new incoming come bet so you place the now empty box number again.

Re: If you keep a log, what do you record in it?

In reading all your posts there's an inference that you keep your logs 'live'. That is to say, you record your data right at the casino. (at least, some of the data seems too complex to me to remember until you can get back to your room, or home, or wherever) Am I right? you're keeping records on t...

Good stuff Dork. Don't worry so much. If you are up and have the discipline to stick to your loss limit of 1/2 your buy in... Think about how many sessions you could go in a row now of worst case scenario. How many? 7-10? That is a large number of sessions to have a horrific cold streak on. Think ab...

Re: If you keep a log, what do you record in it?

I'll look at my official list but things I do that are different that come to mind: 1) Table plaque number (Ex. CR-404)- The one in front of the box man. That way if tables are different in the same casino I know exactly which one the data belongs to. 2) Buy in amount - Color amount 3) BEFORE I star...

Re: Odds against the 4 & 10

I had a guy stack the table min ($10) in dollar chips as a place bet on the point (on the line, in my way near the turn) recently. I lost (while betting small, trying to work around him..while he was betting on me?) and left. Good riddance. I can find another table. I hope I'm not near fall down dru...

I just live with losing to naturals and sometimes they are session killers. I almost had a session killer yesterday at HS. I played for 2 hours and 45 minutes , playing the Dylan-acchi and was killed by comeout naturals A quick search of the forum didn't turn up anything on this. Would you mind ela...

Re: Is the free odds bet a preferred wager for a DI?

Keep in mind most don't recommend taking more then 10x odd, should you be in a place where you can place more. If your bankroll can sustain it then why not, but most can't even on a $5 table. The amount of total % edge on your pass line + odds bets is pretty small after 10x.

Re: MGM Resorts International vs Caesars Entertainment

Nice DF! So for that progression you break even if you win step 2 and try to parlay the 3rd step on to get back? Does losing on the come-out mean you are done with that shooter?
