Re: How to Become a Winning Player in Eight Easy Steps
Hi mssthis1, For someone with a 14k bankroll, how who you advise them - betting strategy wise - to make $500 or so a day? If they were planning on doing it every day I'd tell them to try day trading. The mental anguish would probably outweigh the money benefits. lol. If it was for a short spell lik...

Re: What's your favorite money management move?
Any regression to lock up a profit is a great move, Dan. I've probably made more money having my bets "off" late in a hand than I have any other way. LOL. When every one of those "energy draining events" occur and I have more than $1K on the table I get gun shy. I still remember...

Re: Is there really such a thing as a "lucky streak?"
Are winning streaks real? If so, how and why does this benefit gamblers? Recently Irish has argued that there's no such thing as an exploitable streak in gambling. A recent scientific article sent to me by a forum member seems to suggest the opposite. What are your thoughts? Is there such a thing a...

Re: What's your favorite money management move?
Doing a quick check of my bets on the layout I saw that I had $495 in action at that moment. Then my mind showed me what it would look like to watch the dealer sweep it all away. The purple chip I wanted so badly was lying right there on the table. I had it all ready! I tossed the dealer a red and ...

Re: How to Color Up at a Craps Game
If you play regularly at the same casino and they figure out you're a ratholer, they will assume you ratholed the missing chips and adjust your cashout amount in the computer to that effect whether you actually had the chips or not.

If it's a table for one I sometimes make DP bets on the flat only. The majority of the time I just do a dealer hand in at color up time if playing the dark side.

Re: What's your favorite money management move?
The problem is when you tell the dealer you are betting 204 across betting 25, 35 and 42 respectively... They get brain locked at 204. Even worse if you have a pass line bet. Dealers are used to adding multiples and visualizing in, say, columns. This bet asks them to add in rows and non multiples.....

Re: Data tracking methods at the Casino....
. Small samples don't matter. Even larger samples carry only so much significance. Subsets like 720 rolls or maybe 1440 will give you some insight, but only a compendium of the data will really be meaningful. That's the most important thing I've learned from tracking is don't get into the dog chasi...

Re: Mini Baccarat Tourneyment's
Northwood in Iowa had a month long "hot shooter" craps tournament last year where you got an entry into the drawing if you had a roll that was 20 or longer. We stopped there on a trip to Minneapolis and I picked up a couple entry tickets. Since they are too far away from home, I didn't bot...

Re: WOTCO or not?
The problem becomes no GWAG. You are such a favorite on the comeout roll to make money, yet the average punter is more concerned about having the least money on the line, to win. Then they make one of the worst bets ever, the world. Then the casino offers the short pay ats, insuring punters avoid t...

Jeff40 or Riggs or anyone: Have you been to Jumners lately? I'm interested if the playability of the craps tables has changed any. Haven't been there for at least 6 months.

Re: Baccarat Tie Bet
A shoe heavy in 10's would be more likely to have a 0/0 tie but there's no way for it to ever get high enough to offset the HA. Since Asians feel the number 4 is bad luck and the numbers 3 and 7 if I remember correctly are good luck, perhaps the result of the previous hand is what they go on? I alwa...

Re: $100 comp chip
Nice: The promo chips here are pay and take if they win. which effectively makes a $100 promo chip a $50 chip. Does it only pay even money no matter what you put it on? That's the way the ones locally work. I wouldn't like the field for that reason. Personally, I'd put it on the pass line and try to...

If it wasn’t for the 5% tax on Banker we would all be rich with the D’Alembert! Any way to factor that into the progression? Play the no commission EZ bach and pray for no 3 card banker 7's that are a winner in normal baccarat. Those are a push and are in exchange for no commission on banker wins.

Re: Shoot To Win-Mechanical Craps
MSS, What brand of electronic craps game do you play on? Or if several types, which one do you prefer to play on? Thanks! Personally, I like the Interblock version better. Everything around here is the "push the button" Azure brand. They used to have a couple Interblocks in my local marke...

Americraps and I went there Monday night. I did the slot thing only because I had a coupon for $5. I ended up making $6 and stopped . It's a little late to bring this up but keep in mind the standard deduction has doubled this year. if you're not close to meeting the standard deduction and have W2-G's you're probably going to be stuck paying the taxes on them. The 2018 standard deduction is $12,000 for single, $18,000 for Head of ...
