John's book, 'Craps' was my start to the game. I read it before I ever played. Early on I used the Patrick system successfully. His 'Advanced Craps' was next.
I learned a lot from him.
Sharpshooter's and Yuri K's books took me to the next level.

Re: Where's the Dark Side Love ??
Hey LS, nice to see you too!
I wish we had done better, both charting and playing.
There were two good things that happened for me that day. I got to meet a fellow APC member and I got a refresher course on listening to my own rules. LOL I need that once in a while.

Re: Where's the Dark Side Love ??
I lived in Vegas for a year and played or at least observed many of the big houses on the strip on a daily basis. I charted before every single play and played mostly the Dark Side. #1 was NYNY. Although I have played the Do there and won, I still look mostly for the Don't at NYNY. I played the Dark...

Re: Surf and Turf anyone?
DonaTello if you study the information on Bone Tracker I thnk you will fine what you are trying to accomplish. I found the "Box Numbers to Sevens Ratios" chart but I did not find a way to extract 6's and 8' to 7's. I suspect that the "Inside" column would include 5 and 9 in addi...

Re: Modular practice box
I didn't get to see what to composition of the tables at the Four Queens is, just my observations of the bounce/rebound.
I should be able to get a bottom with a Formica surface built up this week. I have some flannel and felt for covering.
Please shoot some pix to show your build up.

Re: Surf and Turf anyone?
I am working from the point of view that I am rolling 5% more 6's and 8's than normal and 5% fewer 7's and other numbers. If that is true the table below shows the normal distribution for all numbers and with the distribution that I am assuming. The tables shows that all other numbers are reduced an...

Re: Modular practice box
Thanks for the info. That explains what I was seeing at the Four Queens, bouncy with inconstant results. The info on the Formica is great intel. That goes a long way toward explaining the differing results I have been seeing using wood products only. I will go find a piece of Formica and give it a t...

Re: Modular practice box
Thanks for the kind words and your input. I am working on developing a 'hardness scale' to be able to distinguish one table in Vegas from another. I am still pretty new at this and still learning to be able to distinguish one table from another and then to quantify the differences. I will add your f...

Surf and Turf anyone?
Old school Craps players will recognize the term “Steak and Eggs” as Placing the 6 and 8. This strategy is a little different so I am going to give it a new name. I like “Surf and Turf” and since it involves a Strategy more involved than simply placing the 6 and 8 I am going to give it that name. Fi...

Re: Modular practice box
Update, The first iteration was the Accucraps box with the doweled ends turned out. That was for proof of concept and it worked. The pix are of that configuration. Next I tried 1/2" Maple plywood with flannel and felt. Still too hard. Next I overlayed the Maple plywood with a piece of 5 mm Laua...

Re: Just noodling a bit
My preference, if I am traveling alone, would be to not place any bets on randies for obvious reasons. It would be nice however to catch a hot roll if one should occur while I am waiting for the dice to come around again. My experience with the Dealers is that if you skip more than one shooter they ...

Modular practice box
This doesn’t seem like the right category but neither did any other so I stuck it here. Heavy, if you have a better place for it please let me know. In the spring I ordered a practice box from Accucraps. I didn’t have access to any woodworking equipment and wanted something ready to go. It is nicely...

Re: Introducing Myself
"I also don't let any one shooter take me for more than one bet. That last part is Graftstein not MP." Yes, I've read this a couple of times...just to clarify, does that mean that once you win or lose, you don't place another bet until another shooter comes up? You probably didn't think t...

Re: What do you guys do?
Lately I have been experimenting with using the 5 count and then Placing the 6 and 8 until I get one hit on either and then turn them both off until the next point or shooter. I do this to not be so obvious about only betting on myself. Keep in mind that no 'system' actually works. They only appear ...

Re: An Interesting Discussion....
The questions are: (assuming a random game) If you were to compare, over say 500 decisions, a $47 flat don't bet, against a $5 flat bet and lay $42 in odds - Assuming a random game in the sense that over the course of 500 rolls the outcomes are perfectly distributed as expected, betting with odds w...

Re: Protecting the ATS
I find the ATS an interesting distraction and little more. When I'm the shooter - or when another DI I'm acquainted with has the dice - I'll toss $5 our and bet 2-1-2. On shooters I've qualified on a previous hand I'll bet 1-1-1. As far as the rest of them are concerned - I keep my chips in the rac...

Re: Protecting the ATS
I typically do not change my set once I get past the initial come-out and point establishment when playing the ATS game. If I roll the dice long enough - all the numbers will eventually roll. If not - they won't. As soon as you go jacking with your set trying to out-think the the game you've shifte...

Protecting the ATS
If you have not seen the ATS bet it is relatively new. There are actually three separate bets. You can bet that the Small numbers, 2 through 6, will come before any 7 or the Tall numbers, 8 through 12 will come before any 7 or All numbers, both the Small and the Tall will come before any 7. As a gen...

Re: Trying to wrap my head around this strategy
The D/D is a useful strategy if the table charts a mediocre to moderate Don't. If it charts a strong Don't then I play just the DP.
