Re: Roulette - Heavy's Sit-Down Game of Choice
Anyone have a decent set of spins to test against? I've got a set of 100k, but I'm looking for someone to double-check some of my work. Let me know, thanks.

Re: Roulette - Heavy's Sit-Down Game of Choice
Hitting a single number, 3 times, in roulette would pay $42k.
3 times, 2/12 props, I think would be $27k

Re: Roulette - Heavy's Sit-Down Game of Choice
One year I was in Reno for the ABC National Bowling Tournament. I was down to my last $50, or so, and not looking forward to not being able to afford to eat the next day. Walking back to my room I passed a roulette table, and thought i saw a pattern. Played $20 on that pattern, for what ended up bei...

Re: Casino War
Never mind. I found a more accurate way to design the RNG, and reduced the card count to 75. Hit rate dropped to a high of 7.7% and all results went negative. Low hand count (10k), and I will confirm with more...to be thorough, but I don't see a reason to think there will be any improvement. Heavy's...

Re: Casino War
On an individual hand basis I would agree. But I'm looking at it to happen once within a 9-hand stretch.
Also why i want someone else to look at my results. i don't claim to be perfect so I may have missed something in my calculations.

Re: Casino War
Heavy - It appears just your basic up on a win, regress on a loss, holds okay. Surrendering the tie. But I am actually looking at the tie as its own bet/strategy. I don't yet have enough information about the game, for any certainty, but initial testing is positive. Going to reach out to another, on...

Has anyone else looked into this game? It has piqued my interest.

Re: What's the Point in Lay Betting?
I'm tracking from the first roll. Come-out 7's are too powerful to not have a bet working.

Re: What's the Point in Lay Betting?
I haven't had the bankroll to play this (hope to by the time MGM Springfield opens), but this seems pretty strong through all testing... This area is vig up front, so all calculations use this. 3 level progression, on the 4 and/or 10. One decision per 7. If you lose, stay down until the next 7 appea...

Re: Looking to Cowtip...
My recent don't pass wins have come from my Al Falcons $10 Don't pass Neural strategy. It is more risky, you certainly can't play that with less than $200 bankroll like the Cowtip, but it is more profitable per session. Or at least I think it will be. I need to run the new script through some rando...

8. If you do not have iron-clad discipline - and are unwilling to set win goals and loss limits and stick to them - take up free diving and learn how to hold your breath for three minutes while you plunge to depths of 500 feet. You'll have a better chance of surviving at free diving that at craps. ...

Re: Playing to Lose
I have settled on what my UH toss will look like. After trying 4 different iterations, i came back to my first one and found I have better consistency getting a clean toss, without my thumb getting in the way. Once I determined this, I began focusing all my practice to using that toss/release. In re...

Re: Looking to Cowtip...
The only part I might disagree with is counting the parlayed units in the second loss. Reason being is that losing the parlayed bet does not actually reduce your bankroll by the total amount, only the amount of the first bet. The counterpoint is that you did lose that many units. So it would depend ...

Bob...yes, it would be 36. Heavy meant that. It's the only way the math works.bobthetree wrote:What size bankroll would you need for this on a $10 table?
Wouldn't the 5th bet be parlayed to 36?

Re: Playing to Lose
An interesting thing I found this AM; Reviewing one set of tosses I show I'm tossing a 10 at right about 24% versus the 7. So a 75.75% winning percentage, across all relevant decisions. This translates to about $1.17 / roll advantage. Reviewing a subset of tosses, where I have made and maintained sp...

Re: Playing to Lose
This is already (sort of) taken into account. Once set of screens allow you to look at the fewest specific outcomes, during a session. Such as the dice sets that produced the fewest outcomes of 3s. These would be sets you would be interested in using if you wanted to Lay the 3. This exists because o...

Bet Efficiency
I'm pretty sure MP has an article covering this, but I was running through a couple of bet progressions and was looking for a way to determine if the changes were better or worse. In this particular case I was increasing a 3-step No 4/10 progression from 40-120-360 to 40-160-520. A $200 increase, fo...

Re: Playing to Lose
Ran several bet modifications, and was unable to find anything realistic that would make this last session positive; so it is a definite loser. Which is great. :) I feel much more confident with a set that still takes a hit, once in a while, than with one that never does. Now I'm working on my strat...

Ask and ye shall receive.
Tonight's practice session came back at -$95 on a 3-step progression. Still positive on a 4-step progression, though.
