Epic GWAG play in AC

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Epic GWAG play in AC

Post by 220Inside » Sun May 01, 2022 12:19 am

Just wish I was there to see it.

Some friends of mine were playing in AC at Caesars this weekend. One is an excellent shooter. The other is a decent shooter but a very aggressive bettor. On certain of our group's shooters he goes big on a GWAG play if we let him know in advance that we're going for it. Well, this weekend it paid off for him again

Come out roll, he bets $25 horn high ace deuce + $5 ace deuce

Toss is Ace Deuce (pays $225 - $15 = $210)

He presses to $50 horn high ace deuce + $10 ace deuce

Toss is Ace Deuce (pays $450 - $30 = $420)

Bets go to $100 Horn, $20 Ace Deuce

Toss is midnight (pays $750 - $95 = $655)

Keeps the $100 Horn, $20 Ace Deuce. Adds a $475 bet on midnight

Toss is midnight (pays $15,000 - $95)

And this isn't even his regular aggressive play otherwise he might have won even more.

He tipped the shooter $1000 and the dealers $500.

This sounds like a Hardway Jack play to me. Just saying. Members of this forum who don't hang around the FaceBook group are missing out on knowing HJ.

Once again you are very astute, Heavy. It was indeed Hardway Jack. You can probably guess who the shooter was as well.

Nice group of guys that I hang out with in AC and some excellent shooters as well. Even if almost none of them are APC folks, I don't hold it against them much :mrgeen:

That’s an awesome series!!

All horns, no Worlds, that’s aggressive!

After the last hit on 12, what was his action and next roll?

Not sure, but I'm sure it was similar action. The next roll was obviously not a horn number or he would have mentioned it :|

That is awesome. I am stoked when a 2 or 12 roll when my $5 World is pressed to $25.

So the answers for roll #5, was he same bet his horn action. He was already at table max for the 12 with his $500 total action on it. He added a $150 hop 7 bet to cover his action in case the nasty number showed.

The toss was a hard 6.

Thanks for the info. So he was half way to another 12. What a ride.

I have been wargaming the hop 7s and horn, vice a World; how's he play that out?

I'll ask him this weekend when I see him in AC.

I was with him last year in AC when I tossed, I think, 6 come out 7s in a row. He did pretty well on the hop 7s but I didn't keep track of how he was pressing. I was too busy arguing with an ahole at the other end of the table who was pissed at all the 7s. I just told him that we were all making money on them at this end of the table, why wasn't he?

I love it when I can make enough on my come-out rolls to fund my line bets.
