What is the longest roll you have seen
What is the longest roll you have actually witnessed in the last 5 years?
Was it by a controlled shooter or random roller?
The reason I have a 5 year cutoff is because there have been so many changes to table configuration in the last 5-7 years to create more randomization of dice
Last year at the Beau Rivage I caught a 1 hour roll by a random shooter and a 1 hour roll at the Bellagio by a random roller
Off course we have all heard of the 4+ hour roll 20 years ago by a random shooter at the Borgata
Dealers at the Beau Rivage tell me the longest they have seen is 1 hour 20 minutes

69, controlled shooter
*Addendum Note: I seldom see a hand(i.e., Total tosses including comeout,7s, everything,...etc) longer than 35ish. Most fizzle by the mid 20s. This observation includes CS/RR.

A nice looking, 40 something year old lady at Wild Wild West in AC. She set the dice with the 5's facing outward. Hit 4 numbers to the Fire Bet, which I was on.
I remember it well. Someone tried to buy in in the middle of the roll, and I told him to keep his money and I would place his bets for him. Put 2 units on a few numbers for him and away he went. Best $34 I ever spent.
I was down over $1000 for the weekend, and after she was done I was up on the trip.

I was at the table with Biloxi Man one morning at the Paris a few years ago. He uncorked an either 82 or 84 roll hand. It was an amazing performance. Never saw a table empty so fast when it ended.

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
The longest roll I have been a part of was my own. Will be 5 years ago in September. An 83 counting the 7 out with no other 7's. Fairly efficient as not many players with half table open. A little over an hour long. Don't remember a whole lot as I was deeply in the zone. My husband played and counted the rolls. My first point was a 10 and it must have been 30 or so rolls to bring that back. I just pounded the other box numbers and was easily at table max on all of them by the end of the hand. Would like to repeat that hand soon!!!

I don't know if this was the longest roll but I sure wish it were me,
"One time I saw a guy with 2 red chips. That’s all he had. He put them on the field and the shooter started throwing nothing but field numbers. The guy who made the bet didn’t really know what he was doing. He just saw that if he left his chips out there that he would continue to win. Boy did he win. When the hand was over he had parlayed $10 into $3,000. Holy crap, that was a thrill to see."

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
This was longest roll I have seen by Heavy. It was at Craps Fest 2008.
“On Sunday, the team went and did their thing while I met up with the rest of the group downtown. I went over to get my breakfast at Starbucks and who do think I saw their, who else would you meet but Irish and Maddog. I knew they were going to be at the hookup that morning so I just tagged along with them. We stopped at one casino and had a session before we met up with the rest of the group. When we met the others the casino was so cold inside that they gave all of us their casino logo T-shirts to keep us warm. That was cool. But I lost a $100 there. But we went down the street and went into Binion’s where we were to meet up with Heavy after they were through with their team play at another casino. I got on a table with Anomolyst and was making money. He’s a good shooter. I hadn’t noticed but when I looked up I saw all the other guys and Heavy at the other table. They were Hootin’ and Hollering. I wanted to get in on that action but there was no room at their table. “Nut’s!” I kept checking and noticed a place right next to Heavy. I made a Bee Line for the spot. “Hi Bill,” Heavy calls out. Boy was he in a great mood. He should have been. I thought he would never give up the dice. I just wished I could have got in on all the action from the beginning. He had was half way through his roll when I got to his table. I played it conservative when I should have put it all out there for once in my life. But you know me, I’m a dark side player and I always think the seven’s going to show any minute especially after Heavy was around the 30 roll mark. But he just kept rolling and rolling. Every body was having a Blast and the racks were filling up like crazy. Heavy had a 66 roll Hand. That was one of the Highlights of the trip.”

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
That was a great trip, Bill. I had a 62 followed by a 66 at Binions that day. The guys at the table wanted to pass the dice back to me after that 62 but I needed a rest. I was happy when one guy straight out on the other end of the table whined, "But I want to shoot the dice." If looks could have killed the rest of the people at the table would have murdered the guy. But he went PSO so I guess everyone was happy. The dice came right back to me and I tossed that 66. In that last hand I tossed 23 sixes, tracked by one of the guys on the other end of the table. I tossed only one eight - the next to the last toss. Some would say it was the "lost number" bringing his friend the seven back to the table with him. I'd say it was the universe just struggling to bring the table back into balance. Whatever. When we got out to around roll number 50 on that hand the house was changing the stick person after every toss, trying to jack with my juju. I found it somewhat amusing. Then they started sending out the dice with the sevens showing. On my last toss, they tapped in an Asian stick who sent the dice out with the sevens showing, then tapped my hand with the stick just before I tossed. Deliberate? What else could it have been. But it was what it was. 168 tosses with only 2 sevens.
The best hands I've ever been at the table for? It's happened twice. Once with LKWD tossing and once with PappyVanWinkle. Both tossed 96 number hands. LKWD at Silverton in Las Vegas and PVW at the Gold Strike in Tunica. Had I been betting then like I bet now I could have retired much earlier than I did.

Beau Rivage Casino.Biloxi , Mississippi 39530
About three years ago
The no craps table was the only table available
I witnessed a shoot from Stick Right one
on that table
that extended to Eight(8) Come Out Pass Line tosses *...
The hand extended (with zero Come Out 7 ) for about 40 minutes )
There were four players including THE SHOOTER.
As I recollect, only THe SHOOTER increased his wage
The rest of us just stood around in T U M A M O D E
collectively in total disbelief
of what our LYING EYES WERE WITNESSING.

Many times my preference is to count the Come Outs rather than the number of rolls.

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
It is nice to hear ,even with tables becoming more bouncy ,there is hope.
The longest roll that I have seen is the one I had June 2012 in Tunica ,Ms at the Horse Shoe.I hour 42 minutes in a fast moving game that started to slow down as the casino started running out of chips. There were only 5 of us,all friends and a blocker who did not play but provided roll by roll action to a member of the Golden Touch website .That evening when I got home I got a call from one of the players at our table that my roll was posted on the Golden Touch Forum under the subject Fantastic rolls that never would be posted.
We are $15/25 players and the table dropped upwards of $200 k .I threw 23 sixes,roughly 12-15 passes ,never threw a 10 or a come-out seven.
Rapping Captain that Heavy knew well tipped me $2 k and after my 5th pass worked all the numbers on the come -out
Steve Simms, who 220 inside and Heavy know well was my coach. That entire weekend I was the best point seven shooter in the casino before this roll and some claimed the casino paid me to shoot.
I still play with some that were on that table, others have gone to the world beyond.
I am convinced I will have to wait for a few life times to repeat.
In the middle of the roll around the 1 hour mark I died laughing and could not stop laughing for 2 minutes.Rapping Captain had $5000 on the 9 and working on the come-out and I established the point of a 9.The casino had run out of chips and they tried to pay Rapping Captain in $100 chips. That is 70 chips.Where is the space in our trays that were already full ?
There were some casual players that were hanging around with us and the previous night made a lot of fun about controlled dice shooting.
Last November in Vegas
one of them joined me at the crap less table;I told him play like I bet which this time he did and walked away with twice the money as his partner who was on the other side of the table and was not able to follow us
For 6 months every time I showed up at the Horseshoe I had a following of young kids;It took them a while to realize II I had stepped back into the dog category.

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
I shot 68 in 1 hour 10 minutes at Wynn Crapless November 1st, 2021. I won 1.2M and I'm still mad at myself for playing so conservatively. I started with my usual 52k across and after 8 rolls I did a 1k put bet press with full odds every #. Then after 20 rolls I pressed to 2k put bets with full odds then never pressed again for the next 48 rolls. Part of me is still sick about it and part of me says well maybe the butterly effect would've gotten me and I would've rolled less or maybe more #s because the variables change, pressing, picking up chips, maybe they paid something wrong, etc. who knows... If I ever caught that roll again particularly at Resorts World or Cosmo I have 10k limits, 3x extreme outside (Wynn will not oblige) I'd quite possibly win 5-6M+. It was likely a once in a lifetime roll as I seldom see anything past 20 and I feel like I kinda squandered it. Maybe it'll come again and I will be ready to take advantage of the situation if it ever does.

Generally most players after a long roll regret not been more aggressive. That is because they had been beaten up so much at the tables that they go into a conservative mode
That is why I advise players write down your betting methodology and play the same way on day 3 as you would on day 1;sometimes one goes down in flames however the goal is o be ahead year end;individual trip losses are part of the variance
Good luck at the WSOP ;I may play one of those dayly events

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
I played the same way as I normally would have. I still went max across to start (52k) but I definitely should have pressed more. The difference now especially at other places is I can max out at 564k total and I'd very likely be there once I got into the mid 30s. The most I've had on the table is around 450k and I made 2M in 23 rolls. As always timing is everything

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
Longest roll I ever seen was my own @ Rivers Casino rolled for 2 and a half hours. Unfortunately, I do not know how many rolls cause I did not keep track. It was a full table I was SR2 used my inline toss from the deck with set 54 54 and never changed sets. It took almost 5 minutes between tosses cause of all the payouts. Hit ATS twice almost a third, if i recall they wouldn't let us get back on the all only the small and tall and 5pt firebet could never get the 6pt marked up.
They even changed rule on table during my roll. Everytime stick change happened I would turn place bets off and work my hardways. After a few times of doing that and hitting hardways, the rest of the table followed suite. Pitboss came and changed rule that if we turn off place bets that all bets are off including hardways. WTF! Even dealers questioned it. Nothing we could do so just kept rolling until 7 out. They gave me a hot shooter jacket that day.
Just this past Saturday I caught one of the regulars named Bill at the end of his roll @ Harrah's Joliet. He already hit ATS twice and the 6pt firebet. Noone kept track of his rolls but it's a roll that casino crews and players will be talking about for a while. 6 people at table including myself but 2 did not want to buy in during his roll. 1 player only started with $100 and walked with thousands but dealers say he did not press most the roll. I bought in after he hit is point and he continued to roll for 40 minutes while I was there before 7 out. He almost hit ATS a 3rd time but missed it, this casino you have to reset the ATS to get back on it. He used an ice tong grip at SR1 and hammered the 4's and 8's just the short time I was there. I've played with him for years but that is the best roll I've seen him have even if I didn't get to see it all.

Re: What is the longest roll you have seen
I'll tell you the tale of my 3 hour roll at the old Grand Gulfport back around 2004. I wandered down to the casino around 6AM and bought in for something like $500. I was the only player and took up stick left. No heat whatsoever, but about 40 minutes into the roll the electricity went off on the boat. The dealers did their "jump on the table and cover up the bank" thing and laid there for 20 minutes while I complained that the house would do anything to kill a hot hand. At the one-hour mark the lights came back on and the hand continued. It was not 7AM. The hand continued for about another 40 minutes when once again, the lights went out. A repeat of the first power outage, with dealers climbing onto the table and covering the chips up. I just sighed, pulled up a stool and sat down to wait out the outage. Another 20 minutes or so went by. The lights came back on and about the time I started tossing a young couple came up and bought in in the middle of a game. Once they had their chips (they did not make a bet) the hand continued. After about 30 minutes they asked to color up without making a bet. When asked why, they said they wanted to toss the dice but I was hogging them. LOL. They could have made a couple of thousand if they'd known what they were doing. At around the 40 minute mark the lights went out a third time. This time it was only for about ten minutes. Then I got the dice and tossed another ten minutes or so before sevening out. Actual toss time - around 90 minutes - so I'd estimate about a 70 - 80 roll hand under the circumstances, me being the only shooter and the table being empty. But damn. A solid hour of "lights out." It was crazy. Not a problem with the city's electrical grid. Something going awry with the boat's electrical system that required the electricians to shut down the main power switch. Probably best they didn't give any heads up. Otherwise I'd have been sweating it.
