Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

You forgot to include (8) Women, (9) Horses, and for those of you in states where it's legal (10) Recreational Pharmaceuticals - for those of you in states where that is not legal - Bonded Liquor.

Me: Redheads. No Maidens or Low Stakes Claimers, Jack Daniels Single Barrel, Tito's Handmade Vodka, Appleton Dark Rum, Baily's Irish Creme OR Tia Maria Coffee Liquor. No, I'm not a Scotch guy.

Hmmm. It appears you also left (11) Favorite Beer/Ale off the list.

Me: Newcastle Dark Ale at the moment. Shiner Boch in a distant second.

As for your other subjects:

1: Fishing - occasional - striper fishing in the lake - fly fishing on the river - cane pole and crickets on the pond.
2: Golf - poorly - I play like this. First hole - 4 over. Second hole, skip it, watch my daughter play, drink a beer as I drive her around on the cart. Repeat for 9 holes - then my play changes to putt only on every third hole - with two beer hole in between. I wish they'd let you fish the water hazards and shoot a few squirrels along the way.
3: Basketball - not genetically suited to the game - has not interest for me.
4: Football - enjoy serious college rivalries between equally matched teams. Occasionally watch the pros once we get into the playoffs. Can't wait for Jerry Jones to be out of the picture some day.
5. Baseball been very good to me. A nod to Garrett Morris' character, Chico Escuela.
6: Bowling: Please don't get Riggs started on this subject.
7. Hockey: Seriously? Yeah, Dallas has a hockey team. Been to exactly none of their games. If football doesn't interest me much - why would hockey? If I want to see people fight I'll go to a karate tournament.

Whew. Now is we can get some of you NON POSTERS to join in the conversation . . .

I have tried Newcastle Dark Ale but I like Fat Tire an amber ale from New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, CO.

One of the guys who used to be active on the old forum - Boy Scout - was a Fat Tire fan. Not enough head and a little too fruity for me. LOL. Sounds like I'm reviewing a gay bar. I have officially re-dubbed this stuff "Flat Tire." But hey - to each his own. If we're going to talk about the ponies then I'll have to add in the puppies. I do enjoy those damn dog races when I get an opportunity to hit the track. It's just a little farther away than I want to drive. Maybe when I retire (again) I can work a trip to the tracks in once or twice a month.

No clip from "Blazing Saddles"? The campfire flatulence was a gutbuster!
