Vegas tables question

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Vegas tables question

Post by Yazworm91 » Sun Aug 04, 2013 2:16 am

Hey everyone! Quick question for when I head to Vegas. Do they have an automatic buy on the 4/10 at any point? Like in tunica it's an automatic buy at 10$. Is it 25$ min buy in vegas?

Hi Yazworm 91

Vegas does have automatic buys on 4/10. On the strip, the minimum to buy the 4/10 is $25 (vig paid after win). Palace Station will buy the 4/10 at $10 (casino is a little off strip...)

Downtown rules are a little different. In particular, the 4 Queens will make you pay the vig up front if you place the 4/10 for $20, but will pay vig after win once you hit $25 level. Also, some downtown casinos have crapsless craps, you can buy the far outside numbers for $10.

I recently did this at the Las Vegas Club...bought the outside (2,3,11,12) for $25 each. Made a killing from a local shooter. Good times...

Hey yazoo:

Get ready for a shock.. Vegas odds suck compared to TUnica..

It seems every place is a little different, dice coach has an excellent overview of table and crew conditions on the forum.

The 3 x 4 x 5 odds and the more horrible 2 x odds behind the passline were a bummer for me.. Main Street does has 20 x odds. The 5 and 9 don't seem to get to Tunica odds until you are at $100 or so.. Watch out for the 15 FOR 1 payouts (14 to 1) on some strip prop bets. Geez at least some of em have a triple 12 in the field, whopeeee..

good luck

Yeah, that's the thing I tell people about playing in Vegas versus playing 90 miles down the road in Shreveport/Bossier. Just about every casino down there has 100X odds - something that's disappeared in Vegas. But Mississippi is by far the best state when it comes to auto-buys on the Four and Ten - AND the Five and Nine.

Main Street Station in Vegas has free buys on the 4 & 10 at $5 -- yes $5. You get paid with 50 cents chips.

Very true...

I want to say that @ in Biloxi at the Grand, 5/9 might be "auto buys" at $20.

SAMs in Shreveport gave me an auto buy for 20 the other night. Might not be that we'll kept of a secret, but I didn't know about it. only my second time to play there. Anyplace else in SB doing this?
