What's your grinding strategy
If you have time to kill and you want to sit and grind on wrong way betting, what has worked for you before?

Sam Grafsteins Pension Play
Lately I have been having luck with a straight $25 DP using Sam's stop triggers of 7 11 and 12 on the CO
and Parley the Crap Rolls to Table Max. DC's just stealing profits lately, probably just me but keeping it simple is what works for now.

Re: What's your grinding strategy
Yeah, I like playing $15 DP followed by a $10 DC. I don't lay odds unless one of the bets get knocked off. If that happens I'll typically lay $30 - $60 odds on the remaining number.
The other play I'll do from time to time is SIA's One Hit - Can't Miss strategy, which is a $12 DP combined with a $12 six and a $12 eight. After one hit on the six or eight you're guaranteed a win for the hand. Just sit back and collect until the devil shows.

Re: What's your grinding strategy
I use a John Patrick strategy...Place a $5 DP...After point is established, lay single odds against the point and place a $5 DC...When the DC point is established , pickup your odds and wait for a decision...Sometimes I will place a second DC...
Re: What's your grinding strategy
After a 7-out hand, don't bet on the come-out roll. If the point is a 4, 5, 9, or 10, then bet $10 on the DC. When it travels, wait for decision. If the point established is a 6 or 8, place bet that point for 2 rolls. After 2 rolls remove place bet, bet doey-don't (come and DC), and when that travels, lay odds.
If the come-out roll is a horn number or a 7, then lay bet $21 on the 9, with a $10 field bet. When point is established, remove lay bet, and either make a DC bet or place the point.
If the come-out roll is a horn number or a 7, then lay bet $21 on the 9, with a $10 field bet. When point is established, remove lay bet, and either make a DC bet or place the point.

Thanks Pacecar, I like your grind better than what I was using....Pacecar wrote:After a 7-out hand, don't bet on the come-out roll. If the point is a 4, 5, 9, or 10, then bet $10 on the DC. i did 22 inside on comeout working then down hit or miss and 5 dp.. only played when i was shooting..
if i lost the dp i would do the 5-15-35-75-155 progression.. (never got to 155)
lost the inside one time, came right back with 66 inside and hit it..
back to back comeout 7s im sure was lurking if i had more turns but the play was enough action for me at a comfortable level.

Re: What's your grinding strategy
Yep, that's it. He was over tonight and told me about his 15th win in a row. He has changed his set, but the betting remains the same. Very important to not deviate. I'm not sure how much he makes on others, but he sure cleaned up when he was shooting tonight.

Re: What's your grinding strategy
This is from my last three sessions from Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday
(Saturday)
I have been doing pretty good so far thanks to you and our practice sessions. I am on my 13th straight win. I have been averaging $50 a day but today it went up to a $96 win. I like those numbers even better. I'm still using the straight 6's set for my Don't play. On the come out, I set it to 6-6 on top with the 5-5 looking at me. I have been getting a lot of 8's and 4's for my point. After the point is set, I was using 6-6 on top with the 2-2 facing but I kept making my point and having long rolls. I noticed that I was rolling a lot of hard 6's and 8's so I turned the right die a half turn. Now the set looks like 6-6 on top and 2-5 facing me. That has been working out good. I get less hard ways when both die go off axis and more seven-outs now. I also get more than average double pitches so with the 6's on top it gets me that 7 that I'm always looking for.

(Sunday)
I try and get my spot at SL1 but I can shoot at other positions if I have too. I'm playing the Don'ts right now and have had 14 winning days in a row as of today. I'll try and see if I can keep that going for a while. On other shooters, I will wait 8 rolls and then do a $10 Don't Come bet (If the 9th roll happens to be a Come-out Roll, I will wait to bet my Don't Come bet until he sets his point). If it goes to the 6 or 8, I will make another DC bet looking for one of the outside numbers. Once that's established, I placed the 6 and/or 8 for $10. Affectingly canceling out my 6 and 8. I'll either break even with a 7 or win one dollar if he rolls one of the two numbers. When I have the other outside DC number established, say like the 5 or 9, I will just wait for the out come. If my DC bet goes to the 4 or 10, I will lay single odds ($20 in this case since I have a $10 DC bet). That is how I play other shooters. There are a couple of DI's that I know that roll a lot of 6's and 8's, In that case I will make a DC bet and place the 6 and 8 for $10 once the shooter has established his first point. I usually keep that bet up there for 2 hits. If it lands on the 6 or 8, I get paid $11 and I keep my place bet up. I have to remember to have the place bet working on the come-out. +$50
(Tuesday)
I picked up another $60 today playing for 45 minutes making it win number 15.

Re: What's your grinding strategy
I was in Tunica this past weekend and I thought of this thread about grinding strategies.
I started playing a $5 DP and after every decision , whatever amount I was behind , I divided that amount by two and went up to the nearest $5 integar (Exp. $15 behind divided by 2 = $7.50 , so my next wager would be $10) . I ended up winning $45 and played 2:45 Hrs.
The dealers kept telling me that I wasn`t playing to win . I told them I wasn`t . I was just hoping to break even. They think that is a stupid way to play. I just want to grind out a few hours at the table and win a couple of dollars.
What do you think?
Every damn time I play to breakeven ,I always end up winning a few dollars.
