Betting suggestions for Buy In

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Betting suggestions for Buy In

Post by gargoil » Mon Jan 13, 2014 2:21 pm

If you buy in for 1500.00
1- What would your iron cross betting strategy be?
2- What would your place bet across be?
3- What would your conservative betting be?

Keep in mind you are betting on yourself only and not table randies.

Thanks

Hi Gargoil,

~What is your validated in-casino advantage over each of those bets?

~What is your per-session loss-tolerance (as a % of your buy-in), and what is your multi-session loss-tolerance (as a % of your overall gaming-bankroll)?

~How many self-thrown hands do you plan to throw per session?

~What betting-method (including initial 7-exposure, regression-points, and any press-schedules) do you plan to use on each?

~Are you using a separate 'GameWithinaGame' (GWAG) strategy for the Come-Out cycle? If so, what is your validated in-casino edge over those wagers, and what are your bet-values for those?

~Is your buy-in suscepible to hunch-bets like Hardways, Hops, and Props? If so, what is your validated in-casino edge over those wagers, and what are your bet-values for those?

Assuming you've done as MP suggests and validated your edge on those bets:

This is a strategy that I borrowed from Wizard designed to get you into $50 for $1 country relatively quickly using an Iron Cross type play to fund other bets. It starts with:

1) $30 on the 6 and 8 - $25 on the 5 - $15 on the Field - $100 total action
2) Collect FOUR times which yields an average of around $70 - depending on what numbers hit
3) STOP Field betting and go to $66 inside - that's $15 each on the 5 and 9 and $18 each on the 6 and 8
4) PRESS each inside hit ONCE. FULL PRESS. So your $66 inside bets become…
5 and 9: = $15 plus win of $21 pressed to $35 Rack $1
6 and 8: = $18 plus win of $21 - drop $3 and press to $42

Now all inside numbers pay “Fifty For One!”

5) STAY at the “Fifty for One” level for the duration.
6) If the 4 and 10 start rolling, after locking up a few hits at $50 for $1 take the next $50 for $1 pay off and buy the 4 and 10

This strategy enables you to get your money OFF early, with a modest profit after just four rolls - and you PRESS early and then collect for as long as you can with NO pressure of a large loss and none of your initial wager at risk.

If I were betting across with a $1500 buy in I would probably start out with $160 across. Obviously you would not place the point as you'd have it on the Pass Line. You actual bet would be $130 - $135 across plus your Pass Line and Odds. In any case, if my shooting was on I would take three or four hits at that level, which would generate anywhere from $105 - $200, if my math serves me well. At that point I would probably regress to $66 inside and follow the above press schedule - or go to $64 across (less the line bet and odds, of course). However, being the kind of guy who likes to bet what the table is giving me - odds are I would have tracked those first three or four numbers that hit, and I would simply take down the numbers that had not rolled and leave those that had "paid their rent" up there and working.

I think either of these plays is fairly conservative.

1- I would not bet "Iron Cross" because I've tried many simulations in Wincraps program resulting in negative expectations more than 75% of the time.

2-3- I would start with 160 across including the point and regress after 1 win to 32 across including the point and gradually press each winning bet by 50% above the original bet.

I tested this style of play also in wincraps running hundreds of simulations resulting in a more positive 50/50 approach and profit in pocket.

I would also recommend playing the fire bet for every shooter. (Just the other day, a new female shooter made a 5 number fire bet and not even realizing she made 4 shooters including me $1250.00 along with a few extra hundred from pressing the place bets.
