There's a lot more to DI than just throwing the dice and "betting properly." There's a lot of work that has to go into figuring out what betting properly means - and that includes a lot of math and other leg work that is rarely discussed. BT is an awesome tool but has to be utilized properly. Knowing your edge over the casino on each and every bet is paramount to preserving and building your bankroll. Knowing what is bologna and what actually matters is key.
