CRAPS VS ROULETTE

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

I think you should explore your ideas in live casino play. I have and I can tell you from experience that most of the time the dice (or the roulette ball) usually find the "Bad number" before I reach my win goal. Yes there are streaks of luck. I have had some great sessions. But if you bet a lot to win a little it is unlikely that your play will hold up over time. Unless you are satisfied to win only $2 at craps or $1 at roulette. If you are happy to win $1 for risking $35 at roulette then this may be a good play for you. I want to win 20% - 25%. Most people I see at the casino want to win 100%+. These win goals require a lot of spins or tosses. The chances of avoiding the "bad number" until the win goal is achieved is not very good in live play. If hope is your strategy than it's better to hope a single placed number will hit in 35 spins. At least that way you get to play for a longer time.

Yup, I have to agree with Freak on this one.

Here is my opinion.

If you bet a lot to win a little you may well have winning streaks but with just one loss you have a lot of ground to make up. Overall, it sounds like a stone cold loser to me.

Even if you could [the vig is on the win in Tunica and Biloxi] since a 5/9 place bet pays $7 for every $5 bet a $10 bet gets you $14, a buy 5/9 would pay at 1.5X the buy minus the vig of 1/20th the win with a minimum of $1 vig so $10 buy 5/9 would pay $15 - $1 = $14. What would be the point of buying it for exactly what the place bet nets you? I could see it at least marginally at any figure $12 or above, preferably above $20 but below the cutoff they charge the $2 vig.

There are some casinos in Vegas, including the Orleans that you can do it.
