For all you BlackJack Aficianados

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

I was told once (by someone who should know) that if you lose three consecutive hands in a row on any shoe you should take a bathroom break and come back in time for the shuffle to start over. Statistically, it's impossible to win on that shoe if you lose three in a row. Whether or not this is true or not remains to be seen, but it always made better sense to go tap a kidney than to sit there and continue to tap your bankroll on a negative trend.

I've lost 19 in a row before. After 3 loses in a row I bet table minimum until I win a hand no matter what the count is. I prefer to play BJ heads up with the dealer or one other player, which makes the volatility higher than playing at full tables.

If you're thinking of a reverse progression system don't do it with blackjack, Baccarat is a better choice. What are you going to do if you lose 13 hands and on the 14th you get a pair of 8's that you have to split and maybe double down on up to 4 times? Whatever you max bet is going to be in Blackjack you have to have enough money in reserve to correctly play a hand where you have to split, resplit and double down.
