I don't get the 2 ways to make a hardway. What do you mean by this?

Hi King of Dice,
There is no 'secret combination' of dice.
If you set one die on the '3' and the other die on the '3'; regardless of where they are located on the table (or the planet for that matter); it is still a Hard-6.
Switching them around, left to right, or right to left, does not create a new secret combination; it merely changes their individual location.
That is, a '3' in Milwaukee which is physically relocated to Waukegan in exchange for another '3', is still a '3'...and the two dice still result in a one-in-36 Hard-6. Nothing secret about that.

It seems to me that some are trying to complicate a simple game.

Great, now the casino's will be changing the payout on hard sixes to 5 for 1 now that the secret is out.

Hi King of Dice,
Let's suppose for a moment that your 'secret combination' of Hardway outcomes was correct, and there were two ways to make a 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, and 5/5.
That would make the Hardway bet, even in a random-outcome situation, net-positive.
So the best way to 'prove' to yourself (and anyone else for that matter) those 'secret combinations' exist; would be to Hop-bet the H-ways on an every-roll basis.
If the casinos have gotten it wrong for the last thousand years, and there really are two ways to make each Hardway; then you can use a negative-progression to, quite literally, parlay the casinos to their knees.
Unfortunately that is not the case.
There really is only ONE way to make each H-way combination.
I know you don't believe me, and I'm okay with that. Reject my counsel as just one more piece of MP-fiction if you must; but when you come to the realization that I am right, please give a silent nod to the advise that you chose to ignore.

You're making some fairly common probability calculation errors. Been there - done that. I don't have time to go through the explanations at this point. Pick up a book on probability calculations for non-mathematicians. We're talking college textbooks here. Not cheap. But worth the price.

If you look strictly at the math you would think that betting the don't is a sure thing. You have to roll the same box number twice before rolling one seven. Anyone who has played the game for any length of time knows that this is not so. Once that number has rolled the only thing that matters is the probability of what will happen on the next roll or rolls.

I think I learned more about craps with my degree from Brewers University when I was in that great Greek Fraternity , UnKappa Kappa Fifth.
