As I do with everything else in my life, I've applied some simplicity to my craps game.
Here's how it breaks down:
DP starting out with one unit, then doubling up on the loss (Martingale). However, I stop at the third double, and reset to one unit (usually after a win).
(I have been doubling up 3x regardless of a win or loss online, so I might apply that later in real life).
I have found that I've only hit 3x a handful of times, mostly hitting winning streaks with choppy shooters.
This is a slight variation of what I was playing (DP/DC with mixing in the Field occasionally), and I applied it tonight.
Living in Vegas affords me plenty of options, but to test new (to me) strategies and/or shake off some ring rust, I'll usually go to Palace Station for their $3 craps.
(My son was born on Father's Day nine weeks early, and spent his first seven weeks in the hospital, so I took a break to deal with that. No worries, he's a healthy and happy boy!)
Tonight I hit up Palace with a bankroll of about 56x the table minimum. I dipped my toe into the water for a few rounds to see how the table was. Once I hit the 7-out a few times, I started rolling out my strategy.
Side note: even the dice setters weren't doing that well because they (IMHO) weren't showing good dice control.
A big part of my playing deals with not staying at the table for long...I like to average about 30-35 minutes per table. That works for me since my son has his eye appointment later this morning.
Anyways, I came out ahead...not much, but I like to leave with more than I started with LOL. It wasn't the usual amount that I do with BJ (double my bankroll), but I was happy.
More importantly, it gave me my confidence back, so now I feel more comfortable in moving back up to the $5/10 tables.
Hopefully I can keep it up!
