Layout check for 7ft home table
Hi folks
I've taken inspiration from Freak and created my own layout. Being in Australia there isn't much on offer for craps over here. I will find someone local to dye sublimate print this onto some gaming suede.
I wanted to ask the experienced players and check if a 7ft (2.1m) x 4ft (1.2m) table is considered a mini table and would have a layout like this one that I've put together.
I'm trying to make it as authentic as possible, but don't really have anything to go off.

Re: Layout check for 7ft home table
Good Evening Crapsjourney. Good work on your new layout.
One quick thought: The (DontCome) box positioned below the 4/10 are more commonly positioned to the left/right of the 4/10 if viewed from the rails and facing the dealers. This may just be at the casinos I frequent the most and whichever position you choose I'm sure will look fine.
Keep us updated/ let us know when youre finished with the project.
All the best,
Tgold

Hi TGold
I was following along with the design Freak came up with here, the box numbers are big. I'll put some digital chips onto to see how big it is and give some perspective.

I figured 7ft was a mini table with one dealer that looks after it. We don't have anything like that in Australia.
Maybe it's only 6ft tables that are mini with one dealer.?

If you'll "Google" Single Dealer Craps Layout and look at the images you'll find many examples of what you're trying to put together there. Here's an example:
"Get in, get up, and get gone."

My home table is an 8' tub table and it has a double layout, however the bet boxes are too small to accommodate a full compliment of chips. It looks like this:
"Get in, get up, and get gone."

Hi Crapsjourney - I see you are from Brisbane. Are there many tables in your local market? How are the casinos for craps in Melbourne/Sydney and elswehere? I take it you probably get the same payouts as we do in the UK - extra half point on hardways and 16 to 1 and 33 to 1 on the one off hopping bets?

There is one table in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne that I know of. I think there is a high roller table in Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne.
I've taken to asking people if they know Craps, I'm surprised that many don't.
I'll check the payouts this weekend when I go in for a well earned session.

Re: Layout check for 7ft home table
Thanks for the advice, I'll print it out and see how big the boxes are, I think I've made them too big. I want to have craps nights with my football team so the bigger the table the better and the bigger the boxes the better.heavy wrote:My home table is an 8' tub table and it has a double layout, however the bet boxes are too small to accommodate a full compliment of chips. Re: Layout check for 7ft home table
Do you guys think that's ok size wise?
I use the don't come way more than the come box anyway, but I think I'lll let go of the idea of having an authentic table layout.
