Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

This is a book that was written by Don Favero in 2006.
I've searched the forums here with no matches.
Also I've been looking for online for a copy to no avail.
I even heard that casinos tried to ban it!
As anyone hear read it and can remember some of the highlights or betting systems?
Any help is much appreciated.

I think you can get a clue to his method by the mention of Jimmy the Greek in the promo. Haven't read Craps Across America, but Favero is most likely a Don't player like the Greek. And like the Greek, he probably doesn't lay odds. I believe 5$Bill probably uses a similar method. As far as casinos banning anything that is just BS. They build their huge hotels on people going into their casinos and losing. And even Don't players lose. It's advertising hype. The moment you hear something is banned by the casinos..it makes people run out to get the book, then go gamble. Casinos win again.

The book is called, Craps Across America - A Boomers Guide to the Gaming Life. It's sold on line.
Not sure what you're looking for or which side you play. I'd be inclined to toss out questions in the forums on this board. There are a lot of very seasoned players who will be more than happy to help you.

If there actually are any players who have been run off
( not permitted on premises )
by reason of having won too much $ U S D ......
The casino is more likely to offer inducement(s) to said player
to play long enough and LARGE ENOUGH
to lose the winnings plus even LARGER U S D $$$$$ AMOUNTS...
Advantage Players and Dice Influence dice tossers were at times
referred to as "THAT Skilled Player or That GOOD SHOOTER"
depending on casino game of choice....
.
We live in the cyber age
There are algorithms for stock and futures speculation.
I am surprised that no one is hawking
a casino wager algorithm to guide players to a victorious visit to
the Cashier Cage.....
S I A posted a link to :
The Systems Man or Star Chip ,
( I dis-remember the actual name)
The However Factor is all that stuff is freely available on line ....
.
That site listed just about any system
that over many years
ever was a system .......
Many are retreaded and touted by a different name
It comes down to : Every system ( or methodology )
works sometime , none work all the time
Said another way:
It all works until it fails to work..

It has been awhile so I will repost these and maybe they will help.
First up: Jim the System's Man.
http://web.archive.org/web/200308011520 ... emMan.html
Now, Starchip which is a knockoff of Jim's stuff:
http://www.starchip.com/crapdata.htm
I use to collect systems and had many not listed but lost most in a crash. I have a few others. Systems are a great way to work with WinCraps and maybe you will find your Holy Grail. As I read one time by N B Winkless, There is no system so bad that it does not work sometimes. And if you are into Craps books, one of my all time favorite, just full of good stuff: The Gambling Times Guide to Craps, by of course NB Winkless, long dead, published in 1983. This is where I first read about dice influencing and as you can surmise, many years before that Scoblett fraud, The Captain, who was the terror of the craps world that no one, even the casinos have never seen.

Anything can happen on a craps table . It blows my mind when players get really shook up because the dice do not go their way. Sometimes you win , sometimes you lose. In order to have peace of mind at a craps table:
Just play within your bankroll.
Make simple, low house edge wagers.
Set a loss limit and a win goal
Have patience and discipline.

Thanks all for the responses,
I've searched eBay and Amazon for months now but none have shown up, a couple of libraries have it but they are far from me.
I found a couple of good review quotes on Amazon...
"This book was so good that a Vegas casino coalition banned the it and banned the practices. Now the book has been rendered a relic. You can find signed copies on ebay, but you will not find them here."
"Don has some interesting strategies and ideas that even after reading a number of books on Craps had never heard of. I like his style of play and the book really does give some great insight in how to play the game at a lower betting level and giving yourself a better chance at winning. We all know there's no way to beat Craps, but there are some effective ideas that Don presents that can give you fighting hope on a regular basis!"

.I searched and searched and searched...and down the internet rabbit hole
this is the best I could find..........
Don Favero is alledget to have a Facebook account...I seem to be among the FEW
who do not have a F B thing...
{a personal privacy issue choice }
...Anyhow this was the ,in my opinion, the best my efforts could locate via my limited inter web/net search....
..Perhaps someone among the some 1,400 strong and ever growing of our numbers
will be able to extract more
detailed specifics..........

I have a copy somewhere, but I have no idea exactly where I saved it. I recall not being impressed and I want to say he was using an Anything but Seven variant. Place 5, 6, 8 and bet b the field. If I can find the b [k I'll confirm that.

Me personally, I have found this forum a treasure trove of information when it comes to playing craps. I have yet to see a book come close in providing valid and sound advice on the game. The experience and wisdom that veteran players contribute to this forum has been a godsend.

CJ,
www dot amazon dot com says that this book is unavailable. Same thing for Half Price Books.
books dot google dot com has an entry for the book, but it is still under copyright protection so google couldn't just copy and distribute it.
They do have a listing of libraries that will place a hold on it for you.
1. Santa Clara County Library District in California
2. Merrimack Valley Library Consortium in Massachusetts
My library will only do interlibrary loans from in state (Texas) libraries, so I couldn't verify either of these.
Your posting indicated that you had found it in some libraries. If your library will do an interlibrary loan to one of these, you are good to go.

Totally agree! Take the time to
READ all the threads in this Forum. It takes awhile but, it's basically FREE!!!
A book compilation of all the topics, advice, experience and trip reports from the APC Forum should render priceless...
Yes, other books/information is available but, you cannot believe everything you read or are told...you must discern the information with common sense. There are several books suggested here in the APC Forum. Those suggested provide solid knowledge of the game.
